I have had this machine for about a month now and it has a complete mind of its own! Some days it will work fine, other days it well freeze and refuse to restart and other days it either boyles my cloths or does not heat them at all, but this may be an error even though zanussi engineers don't seem to be able to find out whats wrong with it and i find the engineers rather cheeky for calling me a hypocondriact!

Anyway when working fine, the machine is very quiet and washes superbly but on cottons washes, it does seem to mangle your cloths a bit which im quite concerned about but it sure gets the dirt out, the washes are quite long and even the quick wash selection does not seem to speed the wash up much, A seperate spin lasts ten minuits and the last two minuits are just "airing up" the cloths so they arent pasted to the side of the drum. There is four groups of washes, cottons, delicates, synthestics and wools, i personaly prefer synthetics because its more gentle with the cloths and i like to see water above the door when washing because you can see the cloths getting a good wash and in rinsing because i feel that more water in rinses meens better rinsing results. The drum is very big (6kg) i think but dont be fooled by the massive door into thinking the drums huge, but the massive door does have its advantages such as being much easier to put washing in and taking it out, temperaturs range from 90'c and 30'c but you can only use 90'c on cottons washes and there is no temperature such as 75'c which i think is a perfect temperature for whites which is available on the miele novotronic series. The downside to the excellent jet is that hairs and sand etc occasionaly go in it and are sprayed on the cloths during final rinses meaning cloths are covered in residue. There is also a small gap between the door seal and the tub where "glow care" towels tend to go down and block the pump which sometimes get caught by the filter (which needs emptying about once a month and trust me its worse than emptying the bin) but other times reck the pump and engineers have to be called out

Thre is a cold pre-wash selection on the machine which is handy and also a pause button so you can pause the wash if you need to and even put that missing sock that had escaped in as the door opens as long as the water isnt above the door and the temperature is less than 90'c, also if you realy need something out of the wash you dont need to wait 2/3 minuits for the door to open as it opens auomaticaly at the end of the wash as soon as the drums stopped moving.

Anyway overall a good machine but zanussi need to think about automatic maintanance!
