Zanussi F 1215

Advantages: Huge capacity and VERY quiet.
Disadvantages: Door storage not so good for such a tall applance

...is that the door storage isn't the best. The fruit / veg pull-out drawer in the bottom of the fridge sticks out which effectively means the lower quarter of the door cant be used (not that its designed to be). Therefore, the milk or bottle storage is located higher up the door which can be awkward for kids (or vertically challenged adults) to get to. (It IS over 2 metres tall). For a frost-free appliance its also VERY quiet - more so than our previous manual de-frost unit. This was a bit of a worry as we'd heard that some f/f models are prone to various gurgling / hissing / burping sounds. The seperate display for both fridge and freezer is also convenient and has maintained a steady temperature since it was installed. ...First of all thankyou in advance for reading this, my second review. Hopefully it will be of some use to anyone interested in purchasing one of these machines or just as a comparison. I will try and cover the main features of the washer and explain how I have found them in terms of performance. When purchasing any product like this manufacturers tend to claim that their product is far better than the competitions. Being inquisitive and to have a better understanding, I tend to try and find out why it is better and how the results are archived. Zanussi's claim to fame is their "Unique Jet System" as this is the main selling feature I took the time to find out what it does and how it does it, rather than just being a term in a brochure. ...After recently replacing my very unreliable Indesit washing machine with the very efficient Zanussi FDJ1666W, I certainly wasn’t expecting to be in the unfortunate position to have to replace my tumble dryer. However, as fate would have it, my 18 year old full-size Hotpoint, which had been passed through 2 family members, decided to stop tumbling and exhale short bursts of cold air. I was stunned. But there again, there was no shame to my Hotpoint. So I decided to pay another visit to Curry’s. Once again, like I did with my washing machine, my first port of call was my darling Ciao. I must admit, I didn’t look at a lot of the reviews for other brands, as I had virtually decided to buy a Zanussi dryer, as I was so impressed by their washing machines that I thought their tumble dryers would be just as good...
