After using Hoover washing machines for over thirty years I decided to try Zanussi. My husband raved about one they used at work so I braved it and trawled the websites for a suitable machine. I particularly wanted a 'AAA' rating and thought a 1600 spin speed sounded good so I settled for the IZ161W model. I went along to the shop to have a look, which was worth it as the pictures of it don't do it justice. The front gently slopes down to the door which, unlike my previous machines, opens to the right hand side. The door is also larger than the Hoover. The machine is a Jetsystem which sprays water over the washing as the drum turns during the wash cycle. The thing that I like the best is it is so silent compared to my other machine and there is very little vibration even on the 1600 spin speed. The book states that you might get vibration if you have suspended flooring, which we have, but I have not noticed any significant vibration. Overall, a fabulous machine that I would thoroughly recommend and I will certainly stick to from now on.

Bought this machine just after Christmas and I'm so happy with the purchase. It's very easy to programme allowing you to do several types of wash, skip steps so you can rinse only (good for hand washing), and do gentle, 30 degree washes.Its tilted drum means it's much easier to lift heavy loads in and out of the machine, and its sleek, silver design makes my kitchen look modern and functional. The Jetsystem also means that you use less water, saving ... ...a night wash function which holds the water in at the end of a load to minimise creasing, and its timer shows you time remaining on your wash so you're not standing over it waiting to empty as I was with my old machine. It is also the quietest washing machine I have ever heard, even when spinning. ...after previously owning a superb Zanussi and was pleased to find the quality of appliance was continued. Good washing and drying, also as quiet as my old one. My son certainly enjoys this newer model as the door design enables him to sit watching the washing spin. Well for the first few minutes of the wash anyway.
