    Zanussi ZDC47100W...

I needed a condenser dryer for moderate family use (I have a 5 year old boy) that actually worked and didn't cost a fortune.

This certainly ticked all the boxes.

I decided to buy after extensive research into condenser dryers within my price range.
The few complaints I have found generally seem to be a result of not reading/following the instructions. It is worth taking a few minutes to do this, the manual is neither long or complicated.
The dryer was also delivered with a quick user guide taped to the top (with easily removable tape)

It has cupboard dry/extra dry settings for cotton & synthetics which I use most of the time - it 'senses' when clothes are dry (correctly) and has an alert tone to tell you it's finished so you can remove the clothes before they get creased.

It's also pretty quiet compared to other tumbledryers

If you prefer, you can set the time yourself, and choose delicates, cotton or synthetics. There are also anti-iron & wool care settings, I have not yet tried these as the cupboard dry leaves things ready to iron if you remove and shake them immediately

The dryer has indicator lights to tell you the filter and water tank need emptying, although this is recommended to do each use.

The water tank is at the bottom, but not difficult to remove.
I have mobility problems, kneeling is extremely painful for me, but bending is ok. If you cannot bend at all, either don't buy this dryer or at least check in a shop whether you can manage to get the water tank in/out before buying.
I recommend trying to remove the tank and the filters before first use as you don't need to worry then about mistakes when there might be water in the tank etc.

I can't comment on durability yet as I have only had it a few months, however I trust this brand very much in that respect.

All in all, good value for money, it works and I find the sensors save money and ironing.
If I was generally wealthier, I would have purchased the top of the range Zanussi condenser dryer. However this one really does the job well and the next one up when I was looking was approximately £140 more.

Welcome to Ciao! An excellent review . . . I particularly appreciate your database view, as it told me most of the information I needed to know . . . I also appreciated the information about need to bend/kneel/stoop to empty the water collection, as I have damaged my back and my knees and now have arthritis particularly affecting old injury sites/joints . . . Where you could improve this is by incorporating more of the specific criteria information into the body of the review, and expounding on it . . . (use "Edit review" link above, or under review title on your profile page) . . . not everyone can see the specific criteria, and sometimes Ciao gremlins hide them, so adding them into the review helps the information accessibility for the majority of readers (whether member or not) . . . ♥ jesi ♥
