No more Dishpan Hands

Advantages Quiet, 5 different wash cycles, efficient
Disadvantages None
As a child I was always forced to do the washing up after each meal. The rule was, Mum cooks, kids wash up.
And so having spent half of my childhood in front of a sink washing dirty dishes and getting sore hands I suppose it is little surprise that I hate washing up now.Now that I have moved out, I am now in a property with a dishwasher. One thing I can say it is like being in heaven! No more washing up, no more sore hands, and no more cutting myself on knives and broken wine glasses (I think I press too hard when I'm washing them).
A fortnight ago I came home from work to be told that the dishwasher had gone wrong and had to be replaced. To my horror, I then found myself having to wash up manually for two days until my landlady bought a new dishwasher. Those two days were hell.Our old dishwasher was none to clever anyway so anything would have been better than that banged out old banger. I came home a couple of days later to find that a Zanussi ZDT 5053 had been plumbed in.
My initial impressions were that it looked very smart, although considering this was brand spanking new, and considering that the old one was covered in the remnants of five years worth of takeaways and grease, it was undoubtedly going to look better.With our old dishwasher we used to have a big problem with things coming out of it after being washed and they would still be dirty. I'm not talking greasy saucepans but even sometimes coffee cups and dinner plates would come out still dirty and have to be either put back in or washed by hand. So far so good with the Zanussi, everything comes out sparkling clean first time.
The Zanussi ZDT 5053 is relatively quiet in operation, this comparative serenity (in relation to the old dishwasher) marred only by the occasional shattering of a long stemmed wine glass that should not have been put in the dishwasher in the first place!There is plenty of room inside the dishwasher, although I guess they must all be pretty standard these days but it is about the same size inside as our old one and has enough room to hold around 9 place settings.
The Zanussi ZDT 5053 has a number of wash cycles that can be used for washing at different temperatures depending on whether you are washing delicate things or want a hot wash for saucepans and frying pans for example.The water drains away very easily through a large drain located in the bottom of the dishwasher and by the time that it has finished washing your dishes you open the door and they are all lovely and dry and ready to put away.
I took the liberty of asking my landlady how much she paid for it and she said that it cost her £300.Overall I would definitely recommend this dishwasher, it has a very nice design which fits easily under the worktop, is quiet in operation and washes extremely efficiently.
Reccomended A+++++
