Advantages: Various washing cycles for needs and can wash and dry loads in one go. Disadvantages: Spliting load for drying.

It was a bit tricky to fit in my small and rather cramped kitchen, since the outlet pipe could not be changed easily for a longer one, due to having a particular filter fitting. I expect that the Calgon is needed more because of this lack of filter ... ...anycase I don't see it as a problem and perhaps paying for an instalation would have meant a longer pipe could have had the filter, but would have cost a fair bit to get someon out to do it.

It was a bit tricky to fit in my small and rather cramped kitchen, since the outlet pipe could not be changed easily for a longer one, due to having a particular filter fitting. I expect that the Calgon is needed more because of this lack of filter on our extended pipe, but since that is recommened in anycase I don't see it as a problem and perhaps paying for an instalation would have meant a longer pipe could have had the filter, but would have cost a fair bit to get someon out to do it.
The machine is wonderfully efficient, although as one reviewer already mentioned, it can leave bobbly bits on the wash. I find this is best avoided by shaking out the clothes before the wash and using liquid detergents instead of powders. A quick wash takes just over an hour and other than the spin being quite noisy, the main wash is very quiet and not very intrusive in an open plan apartment. The economy wash which I think heats more slowly takes around two hours but you can be energy efficient if you have the time.
The dryer is also very good, but can take a while to split the load for drying a full load. In winter, I guess this may be bad leaving damp clothes in a basket for hours. If you have outdoor space to dry clothes or a dehumidifier then it is easy enough to work around and find the best balance for your washing and drying needs. Since the machine can be left to wash and dry a smaller load, the best way is to do more frequent small washes.
An added bonus is that the dryer puts out a fair bit of heat while doing a cycle that you can heat a room with it in winter!
All in all a great buy and perfect for people with limited space. I have not had any problems with it and would highly recommend it on efficiency, economy and price.
Advantages: space saving Disadvantages: takes too long
I have had my washer dryer now for just over a year, and while it saves so much space in my small kitchen, it is so easy to just put your machine on and no that it will dry it for you if you have to go out for the day. this is a very easy machine to get along with!
however, it takes me so much longer to dry clothes, and wash them, espeacially if i have a large amount of washing to do! The biggest downfall I have found is that all the fluff goes ...

Advantages: easy to use Disadvantages: no half load
...it has been excellent but Zanussi do seem to be one of the leading brands.
Unfortunatley the dry cycle should only be performed for about half the load (3kg) but to be honest this takes about two hours and if you take out the odd jumper to put on a radiator then the rest of the load will dry in about three hours. Not ideal but in terms of cost and reliabilty I preferred this option to others. Drying extra than recommended doesn't damage the machine ...
