Some of the programmes are long but the manual gives you a guide to times and you can use features like half load, daily wash to shorten the time. For example - using the manual as my guide
The 95 degree whites is around 150 mins (2.5 hrs)
The 60 degree whites economy is around 155 mins 2.5hrs), can take the full 6kg load and full 1400 spin.
The 40 degree coloureds economy is around 145 mins, 2.5 hrs) can take the full 6kg load and full 1400 spin.
However neither of these can be used with the 'daily wash' or 'quick' option but you can use the 'half load' button which means the machine does 2 rinses instead of 3 (reducing the time the cycle takes) but is only then able to take a 3kg load.
There is also a 30 degree wash taking 113mins (2 hrs approx), 6kg with the 'daily wash' or 'quick' option or half load. After this there are other options but they all spin on the shorter spin and so its either wetter washing or resetting the machine after it has finished to do a long spin.
There's syntheitcs/mixed fabrics option and you can choose from 60,40 or 30 degree washes,'daily wash' or 'quick' option, half load option it only takes 90mins but also is only for 2kg of washing and short spin.
Another useful feature is the 'miniprogramme' its for about 2Kg loads, washes at 30 degrees but only takes 30mins with a short spin.
Other programmes Delicates (1hr) wash at 40, short spin Handwash (50 mins) wash at 30 short spin Wool (1hr) wasg at 40 (or cold if chosen option) short spin Rinse programme (3o mins)- 3 rinses short spin Drain (2mins) - drain water out of machine
Spin times - long 1400 or 900 10mins short 700 or 500 6 mins
Timer feature I have economy 7 so the timer was an important feature for me. It can be used for all programmes. Choose 12, 8, 4, 2 hour delay
My verdict so far on washing cycles is that I either wash on the lower 30 degree temperature (if I want a quicker wash) and save the longer washes for overnight or use the synthetics programme or miniprogramme if I have smaller loads and just respin if I feel the washing needs it. I tend to find most of my washing is not too badly soiled so I haven't had problems with it not getting clean on the lower temperatures. When I have had stains it has got them out, though this was using the higher temperatures.
The down side is that you can vary the spin but it goes from 1400 to 900 no increments in between.
Overall I am pleased with this machine.
How helpful would this review be to a person making a buying decision? Rating guidelines
Quite a good review, but I think that it needs a lot more information and detail to justify a higher rating. You need to writea review that is self contained and that is the only Review that anyone needs to read on a washer, so details on all the features, the price etc are essential. It helps if you write every product Review as if you’re writing for someone who has virtually no knowledge of what you’re reviewing, in clear non technical language. You might find it helpful if you read and rate some other peoples’ reviews (especially those that have been rated VH or E). It might give you an idea of the sort of things you need to include. It might also be helpful if you had a look at the Ciao guides to writing Reviews and Rating I found them really useful. If I can be of any help or if you decide to amend your review feel free to put a note in my gb, I’ll be happy to re-read and re-rate. Rich
