...After 15 wonderful years from our last Zanussi 1000rpm spin washing machine it was finally time to purchase a new one. We knew that it had to be another Zanussi as nothing can match the price and reliability factor. The main decision was to choose between the 1200 and 1400 spin speeds. As most of the retailers had very good discounts the 1400 was only a few pounds more than the 1200 so the faster speed seemed the best value. There is now an awful lot of packaging involved with washing machines, but dents loose value for the retailers and the drum has to be protected. You will need a couple of bin-bags for the plastic and the tools to remove the safety bolts from the back. If you are just replacing a machine, the plumbing in is fairly easy depending on how accessible your pipes are, most retailers have a removal and fitting scheme... Read review

...It's been over six months since I've been using the Zanussi-Electrolux ZWF 16281. It is a free standing 1600 rpm washing machine in a white finish with dimensions of (H)85.0 x (W)60.0 x (D)60.0 cm. It seems a well constructed aappliance and I suppose by today's standards it was a reasonable price (Just over three hundred quid). It certainly washes clothes to my satisfaction and wash loads on the whole seem to take the same length of time as my parent's Zanussi ZWC 1300. When buying electrical appliances these days I always take into account environmental and energy efficiency related issues and the ZWF16281 certainly meets my expectations in this department. It comes with an A rated energy rating, an A rated wash performance an A rated spin performance. I think the wash performance related to how much water the machine uses... Read review

...My experience of Zanussi is very poor, I bought a ZWF 1631 W. No problems for 2 years 6 months then motor and brain failure. (Is this an acceptable life span for a £350 product?) As the machine was outside warrenty and uneconomical to repair I accepted a contribution offer for a new machine on the understanding they would deliver in 10 days, install and take away the old machine. My inclination was to go to another brand as I was not satisfied with the machine life. That machine was not delivered on time and no notification given. I phoned customer care and the then head office to complain, and was told a mistake was made and it would be a further 2 weeks to deliver. Although the representative did apologise, they have my money and I don't currently a have a replacement. I am left feeling screwed, the money paid out... Read review
