This is another of my daughters Dolls which she plays with a lot along with her baby newborns (See my other review on these).
Baby Annabell is made by Zapf creations which seem to be the best when it comes to making good quality dolls for your children. This doll is more lifelike than many of the dolls on today's market. She will react like a baby does she will babble, laugh, cry, sucks her dummy with sucking sounds. Baby Annabell reacts to movement and sounds, if you make her jump with loud noises she will cry. If your gentle she will go off to sleep, sing quietly to her seems to work. My daughter seems to care more for this doll and acts more gentle around her because of the way the doll will react. GOOD NEWS FOR PARENTS you can turn it off at the back because sometimes it can drive you crazy when left on. This doll requires 4 x AA batteries. She is 46cm long and is very cute.
This doll is one of my favourites because it really does teach children how to be responsible and gentle with things. I love watching my daughter play with this doll as it really does bring out imagination.
This doll is suitable for children aged 3 years plus, my daughter is now 8 and still plays with her dolls.
I brought this doll from Argos, the doll came boxed and included dummy, rattle and bottle and was fully dressed. This doll also came with batteries, this is not always the case so check this out when buying. The doll cost me about £29.99 at the time of buying a year ago.
Baby Annabell has a wide selection of items which you can purchase for her, don't expect them to be cheap, try and hunt out car boots which i have done for some bargains. products include: A mountain of Clothes Bed (Musical) Buggy/Pram Walker Bouncer Changing mat/Bag Baby station for changing wardrobe Carseat Sling to carry in.
On the market at the moment is also my first baby Annabel which is suitable from 12 months. Also you can buy the Ethnic version of Baby Annabel.
This is a Quote from one of my other reviews which i feel is very important. '''''This doll helps you teach a child how to be caring and loving and how to respect and treat babies but always make sure their aware that dolls and babies are totally different. As some children have been known to treat a baby as a doll and hurt it in the process its up to us as parents to install this information in our children. I do this by always referring to a a doll as a doll and a baby as a baby, if you get what i mean. Try not to say are you looking after the baby today? Say doll instead. ( i work in a nursery and we encourage this method, in the learning process). ''''''''

My daughter didn't want Annabell, instead she wants the new Baby Alive who costs an extortionate £50! the manufacturers certainly know how to cash in at Christmas!!!
