Why have one baby when you can have two? Or three or four or five for that matter? That would definitely seem to be the motto of my two daughters which is why, when I spotted these twin babies from My Little Baby born. I knew they would make a great present for my daughter's birthday. I found them at www.thetoyshop.com where they were on offer at £29.99. Apparently they were half price but I don't think, even though they are a great hit with my daughter, ...
...just under £30 seems to be a reasonable amount to pay.

You actually get two baby dolls and a twin buggy for this money. They arrive in a huge box so you can imagine that it took a lot of wrapping paper. Also, I think it took a good twenty minutes or so to get them out of the box due to all the little twisty things that keep them in place.

I knew they would make a great present for my daughter's birthday. I found them at www.thetoyshop.com where they were on offer at £29.99. Apparently they were half price but I don't think, even though they are a great hit with my daughter, that I would pay almost £60 under any circumstances. However, just under £30 seems to be a reasonable amount to pay.

My daughter was highly delighted when she first set eyes on the baby dolls especially because there were two of them. They are both dressed in very attractive contrasting baby grows and hats. These are very simple to take off and put on again and have a simple Velcro fastening at the back. Each outfit also has a small dummy attached that do just about fit in the babies' mouths. The pink and lemon of the outfits also matches the fabric of the twin buggy which is a nice additional touch.

Once the dolls are undressed you see that although the heads, arms and legs are made out of plastic, the main bodies are made from cloth. This is actually necessary because within each baby there is something that you press that makes each one turn to the other and laugh. The laughing is really quite infectious and both my daughters can't help laughing too. When she first got the babies, my daughter found it difficult to locate the right place to press which was quite frustrating for her. However, now she has had them a while she has no problem and can virtually always make them turn their heads and laugh straight away.

The buggy goes up and down very easily and my daughter has no difficulty managing to do this. She is quite a short six year old but she does have to stoop a little bit when pushing it, so a taller child might find it a b it more uncomfortable. The toy is not recommended for children under three though due to small pieces although I can't really see many of these.

Baby dolls are always so good for imaginative role play and bringing out the caring side of young children. My daughter has loved having these two in her care and has really become the 'doting mother'. They have brought hours of enjoyment for her and her younger sister so this was definitely a successful birthday present!
