At this time of economic crisis, it's fair to say that everybody has been affected and as we are all reminded every day shopping is dreaded throughout. For this reason I think everybody agrees that shops with high prices are definately out of the question for now. Zara is a definate choice for people on a budget, but this doesn't mean that the quality of any of their clothes is sacrificed. I can honestly say that hen clothes shopping, I will always have a good look around Zara.
Range The range in Zara is excellant, they do a very casual range which is suitable for all ages, and they also do a range of smart quality work and smart wear. When I got my first full time job I didnt have a lot of money, and I suddenly had to start dressing smart. As a young girl this is so daunting, you want to stay conscience of your image and look trendy but you also want to look really grown up and smart and make an effort every morning. Zara matches this perfectly, they do such a large range of trendy and smart clothes. Their work range is slightly more expensive than the rest of their clothes and this really shoes in the quality, however the prices are still reasonable. When I bought my work clothes I ended up buying everything in Zara, they do a good selection of smart tailored trousers, also because i'm only little, sometimes a pair of smart trousers can have the wrong fit and make me look a bit boyish, I don't have this problem in Zara, they also do a good range of cropped trousers, which I find suit me a lot easier. I also bought a selction of plain smart tops, which cost me about £4.90, these are just handy to have to put under a smart jacket or cardigan.
Along with their work range they also do a small selection of smart shoes and bags. The bag range is always a success in my book, Zara don't go over the top in there style they keep things simple and smart but at the same time keep it trendy. I have never been a fan of Zara shoes, because they are primarily a clothes shop I don't think that much thought goes into their shoe selection. But this doesn't bother me because I would only ever go there for clothes.
The trendy and more casual range is suitable to most ages, but again because most of the designs are basic it's easy to mix and match things and get away with it.
I find that Zara is the sort of shop to go to if you suddenly wake up and reailse...I have no tops. Its easy to just go in there and pick up a few t shirts in a few different designs and come out with about 6 or 7 things for under 50 pound.
Quality There are no issues with the quality of any of there range, I wear a lot of black clothes, which if you are the same, you will know is trouble after a few washes. After a while, black can look washed out and the once smart or trendy top you had can start to look a bit scruffy. I have never has this problem with Zara and I also find that the quality and size maintains for hundreds of washes.
Style In Zara there are tables of tops, the same style in different colours. I like these tables. However above the clothes rails there are also t shirts, I always find these can be a bit too much. I'm not a fan of clothes that have big slogons across them, and yesterday I picked up a number of t shirts that had 'Zara' written across the front in glitter...not cool.
Shop Layout The layout in Zara is actually one of the best out of most shops i've been in, everything is clean and freshly coloured, the shops are always very large and spacious. There is nothing worse than going into a shop and its crowded and there are clothes all over the floor, there is none of this in Zara, there are clothes rails and tables and shelves aboves the rails which means that the are just clothes everywhere! It's great! The shoes are laid out along the bottom of the rails, so in general I think that they make really good use of all of the space they have. All of the clothes are also laid out in their styles. Usually at the front of the shop there are the smart work range of clothes, in the centre of the shop the belts, tights, bags and t shirts in different colours, then towards the back is the more casual and younger range.
This makes it so easy to find what you're looking for, but if you don't know what your looking for (me, most the time) its easy to browse.
Pricing Zara is priced fairly on everything they sell, as I have already stated the smarter range is usually slightly dearer, but the quality put into the clothes makes it worth the extra. The smart range will still be very cheap though, I bought a Smart coat in there about a year ago and it was £45. I have had tons of wear out of it, and next year when it gets cold again, I will still wear it more because it still looks fabulous and I don't have to dry clean it..AND....because Zara keep their styles simple, I know that in a year, two years etc, the coat won't be out of fashion. I also bought a black dress in there, it is beautiful and I wear it probably once a week, I can wear it with leggings, tights, jeans or on its own depending on where i'm going and so I have a number of different outfits for £30! Again, Zara is also cheap if you want to pick up a handful of t shirts, this is especially good when it comes to the summer. I know that before I go away on holiday I will definately be picking up a selection of string vests, as they're £4 each.
Mens and Children I don't have children, so unfortunately I cannot give you any information on their childrens section, but I have walked past it and its a good size! The mens, I do know a bit about. My boyfriend buys all of his jeans in there and swears by the fit. The mens section is very similar to the womans, there is a large range and its a good place to go if you want a reasonably priced suit or pair of jeans!
Customer Service I have never had a problem with the customer service in any of the Zara's I have been in.There is always enough staff there to make sure that there is someone available if you need help and the queues are always cleared quickly.
I have never had to return anything to Zara so I cannot comment on their returns policy however each time I purchase something the sales clerk always tells me that I have 30 days, and also they're policy is on the back of the reciept.
Any Disadvantages? In short. No. With Zara the range is big, it caters for everyone and the prices are excellant. What you see is what you get. The only problem I have is there aren't many of them near me. My closest one is about 30 mins drive away...but thats it!
Advantages: good prices and quality and fit my J-Lo butt Disadvantages: Shops always look a mess

ABOUT:
Zara is a Spanish store, which is part of seven fashion chains called Inditex. The headquarters of the group are located in Arteixo, near A Coruna, in the northwest of Spain. Other popular and equally known brands include Bershka, Pull and Bear, Massimo Dutti, Oysho and Stradivarius. With 1630 stores world-wide and present in 45 countries it has had a major impact on fashion in the UK over the last couple of years. The ... ...1630 stores around 450 are Zara stores, which has become popular as it copies the garments from the catwalk and then ships them out straight away. In fact, having watched a program on Zara stores the other day I saw how within two weeks after the catwalk Zara has already produced and shipped out the first batch of catwalk copies. That is their most attractive feature. Imagine! Clothes that look just like designer but cost so much less! Miracle! Especially ...

...I have been shopping at Zara for years so it is not a surprise for me. Or it should not be. I think Zara is great in two different styles: # The basics (look for Zara’s basics): you can get a whole wardrobe for a ridiculous cheap price: trousers, t-shirts, pullovers, tops, even suits or coats. #Last fashion: Have you seen something at the catwalk that you would like to copy? New season garments in your magazines that you would like to wear ... ...and well manned, coping perfectly with the demand. Zara is a Spanish chain which is growing really quick in the UK (after big success in the rest of Europe and Arabic countries). So expect to see one near you in the future if it is not there now. ...

Advantages: Good bargains to be had Disadvantages: Quality not always the best
Like H&M or Mango, Zara is a high street chain store selling mass-produced stylish and trendy clothes to fairly reasonable prices. I have recently been to their shop on High Street Kensington, which is spacious, bright and well laid out. There are three floors, the basement floor displaying children’s wear and casual wear, the ground floor offering smart and evening wear and the top floor offering men’s wear (I think, I haven’t actually been to the ... ...I actually bought my winter jacket there, which, although it is absolutely polyester, I am quite happy with. It was only £43, looks very fashionable (black zippered anorak with a hood) and keeps me warm! Overall, Zara is a shop worth popping into, you might spot a bargain! ...

Advantages: not expensive, nice clothes Disadvantages: work mates lol, everybody wears the same
Zara is nowadays one of the most successul clothes shops, at least in Spain, the style is very casual, with some thing to go out in a party, tracksuits too, we have everything, anf the pries and sizes are very good.
===The Shop===
The shop is opened since 1975, the first shop was in La Coruña, and nowadays is still opened, the entreprise group is called initex, and all of the shops belong to the same owner. A very rich man hahahaha.
It has 3 departments:
... ...I was working in ZARA during 15 days, a new shop will be opened in my city, and they were looking for new people, I did a course of 2 days, a bit boring lol, but it was good, and then we did sme practics in another shop.
The work mates were really unfriendly with us, and te bosses more or less the same lol.
But the salary is really good, here this work is not well considered, I dunno why, but he salaries a good.
I had to stop working there because ...

Advantages: Store layout Disadvantages: Not a huge range
...RANGE
Don't go into Zara expecting the wide range of clothes you find in other womens high street stores like Topshop or New Look. Zara seems to sell more elegant clothes but in a style that I would think appeals to a wide age range of women. QUALITY
The quality of the clothes is good. You get the feeling they are a better quality by the way the clothes are treated in the store - nicely folded or hung carefully and they have never squeezed as many ... ...they are very helpful. I think this is a store still waiting to make an impact on England. In the end, I imagine it to be a huge success. If you haven't been to a ZARA store yet, look out for them. I'm sure you won't be dissapointed. ...

Advantages: Good prices for clothes Disadvantages: Shoes are poorly made
Sorry to anyone hoping that I would be writing a eulogy to the definite positive attributes of Zara Phillips, daughter of the Princess Royal.
I have bought quite a few clothes from Zara in my time, having lived in Brussels and Vienna, where they have both had shops, and have been perfectly happy with the clothes I bought from them, but the shoes have proved to have been disappointing.
I bought a pair of Chelsea boots from them, and due to the poor construction (the leather is skimped on, they started to split within a week. I then had further problems with the soles, which being rubber, with an MDF heel section, coated in rubber, were far from suited for wear during the winter months, as in wet weather the wooden heel housing would swell, making them feel unlevel, and eventually the sole of the heel section came loose.
Having ...

Advantages: cheap as chips and always right on fashion! Disadvantages: messy stores and not great sales people.
Primark. WOW! If you are willing to fight through crowds (normally involving a lot of screaming babies, not to mention the screaming mothers who come with them) then sure, go and grab your ultimately priced clothing!
Joking aside, once you have either put the fact that to sell clothes this cheap there must be a lot of sweatshops out there producing them to the back of your mind or just accepted that most clothes are made in sweat shops then primark is amazing!
At first, Primark wasnt too sure, sticking to the plain jeans and cheap t-shirts. They used to occasionally veer out into simple sundresses and skirts however right now they are so hot on fashion. Following top high street shops such as Topshop and Zara they are producing practically the same clothes but for one third of the price!
They have such a huge variety ...

Advantages: A great fully enclosed shopping centre Disadvantages: no M and S (yet)
here too including: Dorothy Perkins; Evans; La Senza; Monsoon; New Look; Next; Oasis; Principles; Republic; River Island; Top Shop and Zara. The main sports shops of JD, JJB and Sports World are also in the centre.
No large shopping centre would be complete without Argos and the high street newsagent WH Smith. I did notice one significant store missing from the White Rose and this was Marks and Spencer, but I believe they will be coming soon. As a motorway traveller I didn't find this a big problem, even though I am partial to their produce. M and S is now in a lot of motorway service areas so we called in at Birch Services (Manchester) for some quality food on our way home.
Meanwhile, concentrating on the White Rose Centre, there are a decent number of shoe outlets including: Clarks; Dolcis; Faith; Ravel; Schuh; Stylo ...
