Zebra Z Series ZM600

...The Lexmark Z31 comes from the Z-series line of lexmark inkjet printers. There is also a Z11 and a Z51. The feature that attracted me to the Z31 was the high resolution. When printing in best mode the resolution is 1200x1200. It is a rather fast printer also. It can spit out up to 8 pages per minute in black ink and 3.5 pages per minute in color. The Hewlett Packard 880C which can print 9 pages per minute black and white and 6.5 pages in color has a resolution of only 600 dots per inch in black. (The Lexmark Z51 can print 10 pages per minute in black and 5 in color) Paper feeding is easy. It has a better paper tray than the Lexmark 1100 which many people are familiar with. ...The whole Z series notebooks from Sony have been extremely positive. I used to be solely an IBM man when it came to laptops believing that they were the only tier one supplier. Dell was to unstable and deterioated in performance very quickly and compaq/hp notebooks never met the quality of their desktops and servers. Toshiba was perhaps the closest match but in recent years toshiba laptops have declined. When thye sony vaoi came out initially it was a more of a personal computing option and was loaded with fun sony software for multi media. However, the new Z series and in particular the Z1RSP and Z1XMP are the best all round laptops to hit the market place. Advantages: Reliable to the last page

...Just like the Previous Printers in the Z-series the Z31 is a great buy for the Home office or as a Student needing to print out that vital piece of Course work about 5 minutes before you have to hand it in.(you know what I mean) It has been my saviour many a time. Setting up was a Breeze, I had it set up and working with my computer within 10 minutes. My only Gripe is that it would have been a lot less if it was USB, but back when I got it USB was still quite young. The picture quality is quite superb, put the Photo-cartridge whack up the Resolution to its highest and put some good quality photographic paper you would be hard pushed to tell the difference between Photo lab and home printed photo.
