Zenith is a company based in North Down and has around 5 full-time instructors with their own cars.

I used Zenith to learn to drive when I was 17, after experience with another driving school which I felt was going nowhere. I was recommended to try Thomas, one of the instructors. My first lesson put me at ease with the car. He picked me up from my house, and was always within 10 minutes of the arranged time.

Zenith allow you to, free of charge, use their car during the actual test, so you can be sure the skills you are using aren't going to fail when you have to use a different car in the exam.
Thomas gave me a lesson an hour before the test, and waited for me.

I passed! After around 14 lessons with Thomas, at £15 an hour.

My first lesson put me at ease with the car. He picked me up from my house, and was always within 10 minutes of the arranged time.

The car was a diesel Clio, a fairly new model, and was dual control, which meant should he need to, he could operate the brakes. The car itself was easy to handle, and during my time of learning the car was regularly taken for checks to keep it in good condition.

The lessons were comprehensive, working slowly through the various manuvores and proceedures that I would need to show I could do during my test. He also made sure that I could actually handle the car on the road, and drive without stalling, and safely with full use of mirrors.
