...The Toshiba Libretto is a fantastic mini laptop from the late 90s. The word 'Libretto' come from Italian and translates directly as 'small book'. The Libretto is about the size of a VHS video cassette, this very small size makes working on a plane actually possible even in 'economy' class!
HISTORY
There are many models of Libretto, most not officially imported by Toshiba into the UK. I believe the first was the 1995 20CT which had an old 486 processor, the 30CT followed in 1996, but the first one to come to the UK was the 50CT in 1997. That means that today the only new thing you might want to have is a firewire-port, and who needs that, after all?
The PC itself is as far as sturdiness is conserned probably the best HP ever made - The only thing I can compare it to is a IBM PC, which everyone knows is the highest quality.
The 13,3'' screen makes 1024x768 resolution possible at 16 bit colors (NeoMagic MagicGraph 128XD, 2 MB). It is quite bright, so you might want to install a non-HP driver, which...
