The Zoo Tycoon game costs around £20.00, it is a strategy game for age 3 and above, but I bought it for my son when he was 7 years old and we all enjoy playing it, even my daughter.

The point of the game is to run your own zoo and keep your animals and guests happy, you get a sum off money to start you off, and with this you have to build suitable exhibits, buy toilets, burger stands etc for your guests happiness.

Tutorial game

In this section you basically learn all the ins and outs off the game, like how to build exhibits and place the buildings in your zoo.

Scenerio game

In this section you will get a set amount of money to start you off, in each scenerio game you will have a different achievement to reach, for example reach a certain level off happiness for both guests and animals within 12 months.

Object select screen

Here you will find everything you need to build your zoo, it is situated at the bottom of the screen, when you click on an item a brief description will appear in the lower screen.

Building an exibit

Select the fence you would like from the object select screen and then you will see a grid on your screen you can decide what size you want your exhibit to be by using the stylus and then press the tick that you will see on your screen.

Animals

At the bottom of the screen choose animals then select the creature icon and choose the animal you want, using the controls move the animal to the exhibit and then press A. other items you will need to add are rocks, terrain, foilage and toys and off course the zookeeper for each exhibit, you can add foilage and terrain to other parts off your zoo.Everything here mentioned can be found at the bottom of the screen in the object select screen.

Buildings

You will need to add buildings such as burger stands and toilets etc to keep your guests happy, these can be added the same way, just go to the bottom of the screen and choose buildings, choose the building you want and using the controls place the building were you want it and press A .

Paths

Paths will need to be added for the guests to be able to walk around the zoo, this can be found at the bottom of the screen when you have choose the path you want, hold the A button down and make your path, when you release the A button, your path will end.

Cards

Throughout the scenerio games you will be able to buy cards at £2000 each, but if you fail the level in which you bought your card then the card will be lost. You can view your cards from the main menu.

Freeform games

In this section you can build your own zoo with $500.000 to start you off, you get all the animals, scenery and buildings you want.

Graphics

The graphics are not bad and the sound is pretty good to, throughout the game you hear all the animal sounds, which my kids find really funny.

Conclusion

I like this game because it is suitable for boys and girls, and also it suits all ages, as I also enjoy playing it,I would highly recommend this game, it`s well worth the money.
