The first time i tried this was a couple of years ago when my dad bought a bottle back from Poland having been there for business. They apparantly often close business deals with a shot of vodka, something you cant imagine happening in England!
Zubrowka (pronounced Zub-ruf-ka) is a quality vodka combined with spirits infused with Bison grass from the Bialoweiska Forest in Poland.
Packaging Clear Glass bottle, with a white label with a picture of a bison on. The obvious giveaway is in fact the piece of grass from the bison field from the products native poland.
Bottle Size 70cl
Price You'd be looking at around £14-£15. I have seen it in Uk supermarkets and off licences.
Taste The flavour of this vodka is quite unique i've never tried anything like it! It tastes of herbs, mixed with vanilla, but also has a hint of coconut and almonds. It is a very delicate and medium bodied flavoured drink.
Colour Clear but a slight yellow tinge from the grass.
Alcohol % 40% alcohol so 2.5% more than Smirnoff red label.
Manufacturer Polmos Bialystok
Aphrodisiac Capabilities?!!! It is believed that this vodka provides virility, stamina, and power. Not sure if this is true or not but is something the Polish told my dad!!
My Thoughts I really do like this vodka although i can well believe it is not for everyone. It is not the sort of vodka that you would mix with Coke, but goes well with Lemonade. The Polish people who first introduced it to my dad said its best either on its own with ice or with apple juice (sounds unusual, but it does work!)
In my opinion this is a great vodka for cocktails. If your a vodka and coke fan this one isn't for you.

Good review, my son has made many a cocktail using this. A recipe would have gone down well rather than just listing the cocktails. Helen xx

My favourite vodka....very well presented well done!
Apple juice is the way to go.... but if you want to do it true "polska" style then you do not mix, just have a glass for vodka and a glass for your mixer/s and sip alternatley.....it is much frowned upon (in my family) to put something IN your vodka lol
E from me :P
