You know how people go online shopping; out of boredom or just for the fun of it you click on a banner... This time I clicked on a jewellery shop. Alfagem is one of those strange phenomenons when you don't really like the decoration but have to recognize the site was certainly made by a professional. Notwithstanding, the page is orange (maybe it's just I'm not a great fan of orange web sites) and the banner isn't too artistic. The site is originally Spanish, clumsily translated into English. But then, they looked so strictly corporate, even a little solemn, that I decided to check on the company (they really ARE serious, being a group of 12 jewelry shops in tax-free Andorra) and then bought a couple of trifles just for the fun of it.
Well some of their things are really cheap, which must have something to to with being situated in a tax-free country. A pair of earrings cost about 16 GBP, a bracelet in 18K is 36 pounds. By the way, in the process of buying I discovered they deliver free though it wasn't stated anywhere I looked at first.
The pieces of jewellery arrived in two weeks, in a quite nice box, but I suppose that to have it wrapped as a gift I would have had to ask for it.
