In the past few years I've tried every diet going. Atkins, low-fat, plus expensive forays into gyms. With no success. At pushing 11 stone and only 5ft 1 ins, I was desperate to get back to the 9 stone of my youth but would lose seven pounds, then put it on. This cycle has continued for years, with no really visible results. I'd more or less resigned myself to being fat and middle-aged when I heard that olistrat, previously available only to the very obese, was now on sale over the counter in a modified format. With nothing to lose apart from fat and a fair csh investment, I decided to give it a go. I also embarked on a low-carb diet and cut out beer, cheese, bread, rice and pasta. That was three months ago. I have now lost over a stone, am 9stone 12lbs and have just invested in what I hope will be the last instalment, bringing me back to a weight I haven't had since 1992. Some words of warning. You MUST cut out unnecessary fat or else you suffer nasty diahorrhea, as the packaging makes clear. Alli is also pretty expensive, £49.00 for around two months supply. But quite honestly the investment is worth it as there is no doubt this is the only weight plan I've tried which has got me back under 10stone ( and counting) and I've already gne from a size 14 to a 12. If you are seriously overweight, olistrat is available on the NHS. If, like me, you were just too heavy and need to knock off a stone or so, this is absolutely ideal. For the record, my diet is now mainly fish, chicken, salads, vegetables and very low fat cheese. It works!!
