expectant reading public by top teen writing queen Louise Rennison, has been two years in the making and much anticipated. The fifth book in the series, Â?And that's when it fell off in my hand, is every bit as cool and laugh-out-loud funny as those before it. Phew. Imagine if it'd been crap? It would have been a huge, huge disaster. Georgia, boyfriendless now that Robbie the Sex God has gone off to New Zealand is, according to her best mate Jas, upset, and all lonely, with no one to really care about her, the days stretching ahead without any meaning. But Georgia doesn't remain broken-hearted for long. Suddenly she has things filling up her days like frequent snogging extravaganzas with old flame, Dave the Laugh, who gives her the Mega Horn, and having to cope with the arrival of jelloid-knee-inducing Italian stallion, Masimo, and putting down the thoroughly unwanted attentions of Mark Big Gob. Robbie who? It's difficult to fault Rennison's ability to accurately depict the tormented lives of teens today. Georgia is frighteningly typical, if a little over-dramatic, and her antics are gloriously topical. There's a laugh a line and getting this funny on every page is very hard indeed. It's great to see Rennison's new UK publishers have adopted the convention used in the American editions of these books, by adding a glossary of all the terms used by the author that might need some clarification for the less with-it readers dropping in. The definitions of words like `smalls' (an ironic terms for underpants), `pash' (passion) and `nunga-nungas' (Girl's breasty business) are truly hilarious and are worth the cover price alone. These books are totally essential teen reading. Do not delayÂ?(Age 12 and over) --John McLay

...This is the first in the hilarious series by LouiseRennison.
When I first picked up the book, I have to admit the cover was the thing I was most transfixed with. The picture above must be a newer cover, because usually they have cartoon drawings on them and are in eye watering shades that attract attention. I'll post a picture of the better known, more common cover with this review.
This particular book in the series has a flourescent orange cover, with the title in pink and cartoon style pictures ofahandbag, heart and a kiss on the front, and a cat on the back alon with the blurb.
I thought as soon as I saw the book "This is going to be fun." And guess what. It was!
I tells the story of loveable teen GeorgiaNicolson, who is convinced the world is conspiring against her. Rennison's writing style is hilarious, and I really...

...This has got to be one of the best series for teenage girls around! The characters are memorable and it is so well written that you feel like you are georgia (the main character). When I picked up this book I thought it looked like just another cheesy teenage novel but from the first word I was laughing so much I had tears in my eyes! This book has now done the rounds of all my friends and all of us agree that it is absolutely hilarious.
The story is about the day-to-day life of a teenage girl called georgia. The book is her diary. It doesn't have a particular overall plot, but to be honest it doesn't need one.
I would recommend this whole series to all teenage girls (and probably some boys as well!).
The one bad thing is that it is DEFINITELY not a book to read in public unless you wish to suffer from extreme humiliation!...

...More escapades from GeorgiaNicolson and the ace gang. This addition to the confessions of Georgie is just as funny as every single one before. This time Georgie asks Masimo to be her boyfriend, we follow her agonising wait for his answer as she once again finds herself fighting for her love God against wet Lindsay. Angus, the ace gang and Libby are all back again to feature in this installment of Georgia's mishaps.
The language in these books still makes me laugh so hard as she uses words such as "aggers" (agony) "boy entrancers" false eyelashes. I have been reading these stories for many years past the targeted audience age of 14 as I still love the characters. These are stories for females of all ages and can also be enjoyed by boys that are interested in getting into the female mind....
