Brand name food at dirt cheap prices!
Advantages Cheap food
Disadvantages Turn over of produce is rather fast.
Approvedfoods.co.uk is a site that sells out of date produce at ridiculously low prices. Most of the produce is brand named stuff which is a fraction of the price that you would pay in the supermarket. The sells anything from crisps to chocolate and jars of sauces to tins of food. The products they sell can range from being a few months out of date or about to go past the date within a few weeks.
The site itself is very easy to use and I found that within a few 'clicks' I got the gist of it very quickly. I was able to navigate around the various aisles and know where everything was within around ten minutes of using it.The design of the site is also very simple in that you are shown various foods depending on which aisle you 'click' and beside it there is an 'add to cart' button. Once you press this, your products are listed on the left hand side of the screen so you can see exactly what you have purchased and exactly how much it will cost altogether.
The postage works out relatively cheap if you make the most of your order. I try to make a huge order regarding weight and get as close to the 28kgs as possible so it works out fairly cheap on delivery. It costs £5.25 for anything up 28kgs and anything over that is £10.50.The site is very efficient in getting your order to you as quickly as possible and find that it is always on my doorstep within one to two working days. I love this because there is nothing worse than ordering something and waiting weeks and weeks for it to arrive!
The only thing that can be a problem with the site is the fact that the stock can be limited and it does change very quickly due to the high numbers of orders that go out. Sometimes I check it during the day and find tonnes of great things that I want to buy but by the time my hubby gets home from work and we go to do an order, a lot of it can be gone.Since finding the site I use it on a regular basis and tend to buy lots of sweets and chocolate which works out to be a lot cheaper than I'd pay in any shop. The people are brilliant to deal with if you have any queries and I haven't had any problems. I would wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone who likes a bargain and isn't scared by 'out of date' produce.
