Advantages: lower shopping bill, easy to stick to budget, no heavy shopping to carry Disadvantages: substitutes can be poor quality
Being a full time working mother I use Asda home delivery a lot as I can't face the supermarket on a saturday after being at work all week with two kids moaning that all they want to do is play with their friends. I do find the layout of their website easy to use and as you add items to your shopping basket you can see exactly how much you are spending and also what savings you are making. Its also easier to see what the special offers are rather ... ...do. When they say delivered direct to your door it actually is right on the door step which means no heavy shopping bags to struggle with!
I always at the end of shop click on no substitutes which ensure that if they do not have the product that you wish for then they will not place another one in your shopping, I have done this before and they sent me things which were not even similar to what i had originally ordered. The price of the delivery ...

Asda.com Home Delivery
So this month I decided to do my first ever home delivery for my food shop, we were away when we got paid, and then my husband was working nights for the next few nights, so desperate for food, we decided to use Asda for a delivery for yesterday evening. We have often thought of doing a home delivery, thinking it would save us a lot of money by not impulse buying as we walked around the shop, and without the hassle of having ... ...aisles. Spending over £100, and having to pay £5 for an evening delivery as it would be the only time I would be home, £1.50 more than the usual delivery in the afternoon. I chose the delivery slot of between 5-7pm, before I would be settling down for the night, but after I had finished my Christmas shopping which I had planned for that day. We rushed to ensure we were home for 5pm, even though I knew it would be coming up to 7 when it came a with ...

Advantages: There aren't any. Disadvantages: They offer nothing in the way of compensation or compromise when they get it wrong.
This is the second time I have had to deal with this awful service! The first was when I helped to get a friend up and running with the service. Her first (and only) delivery was totally screwed up and they offered nothing by way of compensation. She didn't use them again. Somehow, at the time, I must have subscribed, too, because offers have been coming through to my email. A great deal came through, on the 4th of November '09, to my email box: ... ...a tin) for £7. My mother is travelling abroad and wanted to take 6 tins as gifts. It seemed foolish not to take advantage. The offer supposedly was running til today: 8th of November. I seem to have been alerted with 4 days to go. I attempted to order today, the last day of the offer, and realised the offer price had been restored to the £5 tin price. I called their customer service to query this, and was told by a 'phone-soldier', who put me on ...

Advantages: you don't need to carry your ten thousand bags home Disadvantages: not on time, prices don't match
I came back from a two weeks and a half trip a week ago,and I realised I had not that many things left in the house. When my cat started crying at me for food,I thought "Good,an occasion to try shopping online with Asda". Mainly because I am tired to have to take the bus and carry my thousands bags home twice a week.Yes,I am a woman, yes I can be lazy and yes, I was curious.I had never shopped in Asda before,as I never found one close enough to my ... ...not ? " So I went online, their website was easy to use,and quite clear, apart from the fact that some products and offers were not very well indicated. I've been asked to chose a date and hour for my delivery, which I did,and to pay a fair amount considering that I've been doing my main shopping for the next 10 days. Then, two days later, came the happy time of the delivery. First, the guy (who was supposed to come between 1 and 3pm) was an hour late.I ...

Advantages: Wide range of cheap products, easy to use, delivery prices not too bad, excellent customer service Disadvantages: Search engine not great, don't always deliver on time
...on your card and your Asda.co.uk password. On the summary page, you can also tell Asda what products you would and wouldn't like subtitutions for by checking or unchecking the box next to the item. You are then given a confirmation and your order number.
Can I just say, I almost bought 19 blocks of cheese at £32 trying to get all the details right in the review. If you've entered & saved your card details previously, it goes straight from checkout ... ...many things I like about Asda.co.uk such as the fact they have pictures of their products, whereas I've found Tesco are lacking in this area. I find it really difficult to shop without pictures.
I like that if they do have to substitute an item in your shopping, they won't make you pay extra if it costs more. Although, they don't give you back the money if it costs less!
There is also a new facility on the website to 'Ask Amy'. This is a kind of ...
