Nice idea, but...
Advantages can be useful if words in the search have several meanings
Disadvantages Advertising everywhere, when it fails it does so badly
Ask Jeeves is certainly based around a novel idea, namely natural language searches. Unfortunately it often doesn’t work very well, and just ends up redirecting you to the results of an Altavista or something similar search but with Ask Jeeves advertising at the top of the screen (An annoying trick they do with an external link from their site). When it does come into it’s own though is when you are searching for a term that can have several meanings – here Ask Jeeves can differentiate, with a little help from you. For me though, it’s my last port of call in a search before giving up.
