Well, there are a lot of online auction sites around now and most people are probably well aware of Ebay as one of the largest and most well known. However, among Yahoo's many different services they also have an auction site which I have tried briefly but am not so taken with. The one factor they have in their favour is that for sellers no fee is charged for listing and selling your item whereas Ebay charge a minium of 15p depending on the price ...
