I must admit i do like to buy a good bargain when i spot one and Yahoo auctions are certainly a good place to start. I have been using Yahoo auctions for sometime now both buying and selling. The best thing about Yahoo auctions is that they are totally free whether you are buying or selling. It is free to register too. Most other auction sites i have tried want to charge you a fee for selling which can get quite expensive and sometimes they even ... ...The first thing you need to do is register yourself on Yahoo's auction site. It is all fairly easy to fill in and all auction users are required to register with a credit card. This ensures that participants are old enough to use Yahoo! Auctions and that they are serious about bidding and selling. Credit card verification is completely secure. Your account is password-protected, and they never release your information or charge your credit card without ...

Advantages: It's Free, Easy To Use Disadvantages: Not a big user base
One of the things the internet has taught me is that one man's crap is another man's treasure. That's where online auctions have come into play, when I think of all the stuff I've sold over the years I'm also inclined to think of how much more money I could have got by selling it via an auction site. The dominant force in online auctions is undoubtedly Ebay, their user base is by far the biggest which means that you have far more chance of selling ... ...Ebay do charge you for the service and that's all well and good if you know that you're going to sell your item. Thank's to my Dooyoo opinion in Ebay I was actually switched on to yahoo auctions by another user. This is an auction site with some advantages and disadvantages. The primary thing in Yahoo's favour is that they don't charge you for the service they provide. Your listing is free, there are no selling fees and you literally do take the ...

Advantages: get what you want a fair ammount of the time Disadvantages: there is a few but it is mostly a good site
Yahoo! Auctions is not a bad site, but it tries to be too much like eBay, and that's just not going to cut it these days. Yahoo! Auctions, like eBay, offers tons of categories, user ratings, a notification service that you can set to e-mail you when certain items up put up for bid, and a good number of items.
Unless Yahoo! comes up with something to offer users that eBay doesn't, the site will always come in behind eBay. This, I believe, is because ... ...Yahoo!, so where are you going to look first? Also, there are more eBay users, evidently, so where are you going to want to list your item first? Yahoo! Auctions has the problem of giving people an incentive for shopping there before checking out things on eBay. Unless they can come up with that incentive, then I don't know how Yahoo! can cut into eBay's substantial domination of the on-line auction market.
Also, eBay seems to have lower prices ...

This is basically the only online auction site i use, for one reason and one reason only, it is free to sell things where as all other sites (that i have come across make a charge)
For the Seller things could not be easier, register (which is free) and browse the categories or search for particular items and bit on them, all the information you require is there.
nce you go into the item your interested in the screen is fairly well layed out, you ... ...the product (suprising huh), there is also a number nxt to that person, this is there rating (the higher the better) you can click on these and read people opinions on the seller when they have bought things, there are also various other links to the sellers other auctions etc (all self explanatory)
In the middle you have the auction info:
current bid: how much the auction price is currently
time left: time left till close
high bidder: who the ...
