As advised by our solicitor the matter has been reported to the HMCS Money Claim online website ... ...full refund + expenses + interest. JKUK have 14 days to acknowledge the action.
They have even made the Bournemouth press:

My story is very much the same as everyone's here. I placed an order for a graco travel system (on 18th Oct) from what at first seems to be a very professional looking web site. The company then took my money - straight away and sent me an email confirmation stating that the goods would be delivered within 7-14 days. I waited..and waited.. I emailed..and finally (31st Oct) I got their typical "macro" response: "We apologise for the delay with your ... ...We apologise for any inconvenience caused. "
Which from what I've read here, is the exact response everyone gets.
So the waiting continued..and I decided to look up reviews..albeit a little too late (Lesson learned!) After seeing so many bad reviews I wrote an angry email on the 6th Nov...which was never replied to...

I ordered a Maclaren MX3 stroller at the very competitive price of £127 including delivery from their website, on a Monday evening. I have also had bad dealings with babies247.com. I ordered a car seat in August 2008, they took payment a few days later. I was told that I would get my order within a week. When it still hadn't come, I called them, had trouble getting a hold of anyone on their customer service number. I called their Southampton store and they said that the internet department was in an office upstairs. I got put through to them and they promised my car seat by the ... ...to the Southampton shop and was put through to the office upstairs (I found this the only way to get through to them, otherwise always an answering machine). I was again promised that I would get the car seat by the next week, apparently their supplier was having difficulty with stock. They said that they would receive the seat on Wednesday and would courier it up to me overnight and I would get it on Thursday. Thursday came and went, still no car ...

AVOID THIS COMPANY!!!
I placed an order on 6th October 2008, for a car seat. Babies 247 dedited my account instantly. My order didn't arrive. A week later I had to email them to find out what was going on. I was told the item was out of stock but would be in in ten days. Fifteen days later: no email and no car seat. I emailed again and was given an apology by Graham Short (again) and an offer to cancel. I cancelled on the 2nd Nov, and now on the ... ...been refunded. Unfortunately I didn't read the reviews before placing an order. As I think like others I will have to initiate court proceedings to get my money back. Why are Southampton Trading Standards letting these people continue to trade?
