Babies 247 is the on-line trading division of JK UK Ltd, formally Just Kidding Ltd. Its ironic that its Just Kidding that appears on the bank statement. At the beginning of November 2007 I placed an order for a Phil & Ted's double pushchair. After several weeks of no communication I e-mailed for updated information regarding a likely delivery date given that a substantial period had elapsed with no information provided. After further follow-up e-mails and telephone calls to the shop at Southampton, I eventually received a reply on 26th November 2007 stating that it would be at least a further 2 weeks before the item would be dispatched. I immediately cancelled the order in writing. This cancellation was confirmed and accepted by Babies247. In addition, it was stated that a refund would be processed. To this date, a refund has not been received. The Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000 state that I am entitled to a full refund no later than 30 days from the date of my cancellation. The 30 days came and went and still no refund.
I am currently waiting for the courts service to get the money claim web site back on-line and I will begin court proceedings. This company owe me £376. I had to borrow money to buy the push chair from elsewhere.
I will never buy anything from this company again.

This is an exceptional review as exactly the same thing has happened to me using Babies247 but 12 months after this review was written. I am owed £449 from an order cancelled in Octobwe 2008 but they will not pay it back despite calls to Trading Standards and letters from my solicitor. They are common criminals, something must be done.

Advantages: Cheap; helps to get you up to speed with consumer law! Disadvantages: Not cheerful; no communication; no service; lucky to get goods in the end
