Wow, where do I start with Babycentre? I'll start with how I came across it and came to love it.
Unfortunately, 2.5 years ago, i had the first of 3 miscarriages. I didn't even know i was pregnant at the time. We hadn't thought of babies because myself and my partner had only been together for 6 months.
However, a short while later, we found we were pregnant again. Another accident, although this time, a happy one. At the time, I was only 22 and ... ...with access to the web and decided to surf around for some information.
Up popped Babycentre. Straight away it stood out because on the front page it has a big arrow with "START HERE" written underneath it! Even the most computer illiterate of us couldn't fail to see how to use the site! It prompts you to enter your pregnancy due date or actual date of birth of your child. But what if i'm trying to get pregnant, I hear you cry? Well, underneath ...

Advantages: Plenty for everyone thinking of having children or already a parent. Disadvantages: None at all, maybe the need to post every day though?
My partner and I have decided that we may start a family soon, probably after Christmas. Not being the most health conscious of people I thought that I should get some advice about diets for mothers and fathers to be. It was while randomly Googling words connected with trying to conceive I found the babycentre.
I looked at the diet of a mother to be and found that it offered some good information, along with what and what not to eat. It also offered ... ...good tips about what to eat to optimise fertility and aid conception, and any child that may be conceived!
I went to their home page to have a look around the site and found it very easy to navigate. What I also found was information about financial situations and lists of what you really need to buy before the birth and what will do you for now if you can't really afford to.
There are sections about getting physically fit for a child and the top ...

Advantages: Help for your pregnancy before, during and afterwards Disadvantages: Site can be daunting at first
It was by accident that I came across the babycentre website! I clicked on something on the screen and up came the babycentre. At the time I was trying for a baby and had a wee look about the site! I came across lots of information to do with trying to conceive, pregnancy and after the birth. It also has message boards where you can leave messages about something people have left a query about or if you have a query.
When I found out I was pregnant ... ...at the board Trying to Conceive and notice a couple of other people had left messages saying they were pregnant and that they were off to join the November 2002 board. I popped back to the main list of all boards and at the top it said 'Join your birth club' So I clicked on November 2002. Here were lots of other ladies in the same position as me newly pregnant and wanting to chat with others in the same situation!
As time went on more and more people ...

Advantages: Loads of practical advice on pregnancy, birth and bringing up kids Disadvantages: There aren't any!
...best, in my opinion, is babycentre.co.uk the UK version of babycenter.com.
Babycentre has 6 main areas, your Personal Page, Getting pregnant, Pregnancy, Baby, Toddler and Community. When you join Babycentre your personal page is automatically updated everytime you visit, giving you specific information for your particular stage of pregnancy or the age of your child. They'll also email you updates if you wish.
The information sections have lots ... ...When I joined Ciao I did a search straightaway to find it so this could be my first opinion. Unfortunately the lovely people at Ciao have spelled it wrong so I had a bit of trouble getting here!! It's babycentRE.co.uk not babycentER.co.uk, and they tell us to avoid spelling mistakes!!!!!!!!! ...
