I was perusing for an area that I could write a review on and found baby.com this is an internet site about everything to do with baby from pregnancy till until 5. The baby directories are 200 page booklet guides. There are 10 regional books which have thousands of listings, reviews and local ideas. There is a category on health you can find out how to deal with nits, or where your local baby massage tutor is(I am qualified to teach that) . Where to go for relaxation or baby yoga classes. This classification also tells you where your late pharmacy is. It tells you about immunisations. There is a category on shopping tells you where you can find your local pram and other baby related good retailers or where get a nappy service.
There is a childcare section, about who is providing childcare local to you and where they are. There are pages on holiday places and party venues and ideas. There is a category on schools and learning telling you the whereabouts of local dance clubs toddler groups, playgroups. Swimming classes. Where to get in contact with speech therapists, information on provision for special need or gifted children. There is a list of places suitable for a local day out zoo's, farms, circus, and aquariums. A useful category is the local tradesman one, well I thought it would be till I went there and found out it only listed cleaners and people to do your ironing in the area O searched in. There is a good advice section where you can find out where to get advice on, sleep problems first aid, parenting classes paternity testing. There is a directory page devoted to children's health and there is a list of common diseases, chicken pox, mumps measles and gives signs and symptoms and a little advice it does say the information is general and to consults your doctor. There are pages on pregnancy where you can find out info on all the areas. Find out about home births hospitals case health visitors, downs syndrome, prem babies. This page touches on a lot of areas that concern the newly pregnant mum to be.
There is an on line newsletter each month. In February it gives Valentines Day ideas some valentine gifts to buy. This page gives an address for emergency childcare. Suggestions about a child friendly café. and a few other child related adverts.
I thought this was quite a useful website ton check out on local things. . It was easy to read and navigate. I think it would be worth checking out the area if you were moving house or going on holiday. You could find out where the local park is or the nearest doctor ..
