I bought these straighteners on the recommendation of my girlfriend as, because my hair is thick, I use straighteners to style it. Before I had these we used remington ones and another pair, both advertised as ceramic plates but turns out they were only ceramic plated! Bought these for £60 from Boots about 5 months ago, maybe a bit longer and have never had a problem at all. They heat up in under 30 seconds to a temperature higher than ghd's! I went against every ones recommendation of buying ghd's as I heard from horror stories and yet when I went to the hair dressers, she actually thought I was using ghd's as my hair was so straight. straighteners only straighten the surface texture of your hair so when you step outside and the moisture hits your hair, your hair fluffs up again or goes curly, however I was out in the rain and sleat this afternoon and my hair hardly changed
style. They have a swivel cable to stop the cable snapping and come supplied with a heat mat. The cable is easily a metre and a half long, an advantage as some straighteners have short cables! useless! The plates are pure ceramic and easily cleaned by just wiping down with a damp cloth. I believe they have pink ones out as well but I own the black ones (type c67). They also have a sort of fur/felt head on them which I presume is to distribute the heat incase you touch them at the head of the straighteners but I aint too sure.
