"The Weakest Link" has been sold to America - after a 6 month hiatus from Anne Robinson,since moving back to the US from England, her imperious tones will once again grace my living room! You either love this show or hate it. I've missed it since I've been gone, if only because of Anne's haughty tones and the fact that people let themselves in for her brand of sarcasm. First, to have them almost work together as a team and then to divide them, and pit one against the other. Is this almost THE first survivor show? Maybe this is where they got the idea from (although obviously they've changed a lot of it).
The questions seem almost obscure sometimes, and I feel this is a harder game to prepare for than my old favourite "Fifteen To One". Mind you, General Knowledge and Trivia as such are exactly that, and I guess that it's not difficult if you happen to know what the question is about.
Overall, I'm looking forward to seeing this again, on BBC America. And listening to real English, in all it's dialects, being spoken. It's a real taste of home.
