Beenz. Some of you have probably heard of them whilst others may not but rest assured, once you have started to be a collector then you can become quite addicted.
But what exactly is this beenz lark all about. Read on and welcome to the land of beenz...
What are they? --------------
** Contrary to popular belief, these beenz are not made by heinz, instead they are the latest internet currency scheme that is totally free to participate in.
How do I get started? ---------------------
** Firstly you need to become a collector and this involves visiting the official website at: www.beenz.com and registering your details. The kind beenz-people will even give you 100b to start you off.
** Take note of the email address that you use as this will become your official beenz email which will be subject to quite a bit of junk mail (explained below). It is also very difficult to change your beenz email without closing your account so choose carefully and don’t use the email address of an ISP that you will be changing in the near future.
So where do I find them? ------------------------ ** Beenz are everywhere! Well not really but there are different ways of getting a hold of them. These include:
clicking on special beenz java applets on websites
completing surveys and searches
signing up for newsletters
registering with websites
buying products from certain sites
** At the moment there are quite a lot of beenz around to be collected. Some sites offer you beenz on a daily basis to encourage you to go back there every day. The sites offering this change quite regularly but you can always get 10b by visiting "What’s New" on the official beenz site and there is also 15b hidden in one of the spend/earn beenz categories. So that is 25b already each day.
** Other sites offer weekly or monthly beenz and again this involves clicking on applets. Sometimes a certain site will offer "one time only beenz" which, as the name suggests, are beenz that you can collect only once. Usually this involves registering for a newsletter or doing a survey.
** It would be pointless for me to list what other sites offer beenz as these do change frequently. The best thing to do would be to check out some of the beenz messageboards which are around such as:
Opinionated Community Beenz Forum (http://dooyoo.community.everyone.net)
** There are others around but these are three of my favourites which have good info. (Note: you have to register and become a member of the beenzboard before you can see or post messages. On the Op Community board you can read messages and only have to be a member to post whereas with the CFM board anyone can read or post). How do I know how many beenz I have? ------------------------------------
** You can check your total by logging on to beenz.com where you will be shown a statement of all transactions which lists - date, what site, how many beenz earned, how many spent and total balance (ie like a bank statement for beenz).
What do I do with them? -----------------------
** Ah, the interesting bit - you can spend them! There are quite a lot of sites around that are willing to take your hard earned beenz off your hands in exchange for goods or gift vouchers. There are even gaming sites and lottery type sites where you can spend your beenz playing games.
** It is hard to define how much a single beenz is worth as each site has a different exchange rate as it obviously depends on the goods that they offer. But if you are looking for cash for your beenz then your closest bet would be to visit one of the voucher sites which will be able to exchange your beenz for gift vouchers, mobile phone vouchers, etc. Two of the most popular include:
# www.instantrewards.co.uk £5 gift voucher (various) = 2400 beenz
# www.voucherexpress.co.uk/beenzwelcome.asp The current rates for gift vouchers are: £10 = 3500b £20 = 7000b £50 = 16000b £100 = 31200b
** Sounds like you need quite a lot of beenz to get anything decent but I have been collecting for 6 months or so and have 23500b at last count. I have already cashed some in for vouchers (and will probably cash more in soon as I have my heart set on some CDs).
** Other websites may offer more value for your beenz as they offer specific products. Eg if you visit the beenz shop at www.bigsave.com they have various redeemable items and recently I spotted some CDs in the region of 3500-4000b (Robbie Williams and The Corrs if I remember rightly). But to get something that you really want, you need to keep collecting daily to build up your total.
Where is the catch? -------------------
** There is none to be honest. Beenz are free to collect but it can be time consuming as you sometimes have to trawl websites looking for them. At the moment there are around 100 UK daily beenz on offer and it takes me around 10 minutes or so to get them but if I have to sign up with a new website then this obviously takes a bit longer.
** Another disadvantage with them is that if you sign up for every newsletter and website around then you will get a lot of junk mail, hence the advice about choosing your email address wisely. It is probably best to set up an email address specifically for beenz and all its related junk. However, I have to say that I haven’t had massive amounts of junk as most companies that I have signed up with have unsubscribe functions in their emails so you don’t have to keep receiving junk forever.
So that is it - my rough guide to collecting beenz, I hope you have found it helpful and long may your collecting continue.
Advantages: free, easy to collect Disadvantages: sometimes takes a while to collect enough
WHAT ARE BEENZ?
Beenz are an internet currency, which you can collect through clicking, sign-ups, competitions, and through Beenzback shopping.
HOW CAN I GET BEENZ?
By going to www.beenz.com and signing up. On sign up you will be credited with b150. Then after that it's up to you how you collect them. The various ways are:
Visiting other websites - this is very easy, as all you have to do is go to the participating Webster find the Beenz logo ... ...where you enter your email address, then just click on "get 'em" and the Beenz are credited to your account automatically. If your already logged into your Beenz account, then your email address will usually have been entered into the box. Beenz also offer b25 Beenz daily off their website in the same way. You can find b10 in 'What's New' and a further b15 'hidden Beenz', some where in the Earn section. The little Beenz logo that you have to click ...

...were the thing to collect. Beenz.com gave 100 beenz for opening an account and a further 50 beenz for each friend you recommended. With alliances with a whole host of different companies, members could sometimes get 500 beenz just for registering at a website. And 25-100 beenz for visiting some sites every day or every week or every month. And the number of online retailers accepting Beenz is declining. Registrars ...

Beenz is one of these sites where you have to do things in order to get stuff. Myth - it is like all of these other rewards sites. Reality - it is not, it is a lot easier and there are loads of products that you can buy with these 'beenz'. My aim with this op is to give you a personal insight into this world.

Earning
This is probably the most tedious process of the whole website but it is worth it. There are various ways that you can earn more beenz. You can go to websites and register, quoting your beenz login name. Another ...

...didn't give me my beenz, beenz.com credited my account immediately!
The site has changed recently and one of the new additions was online help with Betty Beenz. I found this just as helpful and my question was answered to my satisfaction. To top it off they send you an email containing your conversation for your reference. Unfortunately this disappeared as quick as it arrived but there is no reply as to when it will come back.
They do still run ... ...pick up free Beenz, but Beenz.com the official site is by far the best. There are forums that tell you, one of which I'm a moderator. For the link to that see my profile. It is there where you will find the latest on beenz and any news of new ones to collect!
**So what do I do first?**
When you first arrive there, join up and you'll get 100 Beenz for just doing that! Now you just need to get hunting.
Just clicking on the "Earn" tab will show you ...

...to sign up at the beenz.com website. The site is pretty much worlwide. You don't need to give any bank details. However, you are only allowed one Beenz account. You may use any email address, however I would advise you to set up or use an email address exclusively for beenz as you will receive quite a bit of junk mail if you choose to do this wholeheartedly. *Earning Beenz* By "wholeheartedly", I mean ruthlessly taking every beenz that is offered ... ...to single beenz on the Beenz.com website. But that should have been in my *Beenz Language* section. When you sign up with beenz.com, you are given 100b.
