Do you ever get the feeling that there is a divide on the internet at the moment? You are either a beenz collector or you aren’t. I don’t think that there has ever been so much fuss made about a reward program but Beenzers seem to take their collecting *very* seriously.

As far as I can make out, beenz has become very addictive and this is primarily due to the phenomenon that is "daily beenz". Daily beenz, as the name suggests, are ones that are collected on a daily basis and Beenzers will do anything to ensure that they get online every day to get them. You collect them by visiting various websites and clicking on a beenz applet which then deposits the appropriate amount in your account.

Your account is held at www.beenz.com where you can log in to check your statement, balance and transactions. The homepage itself currently offers 25 daily beenz as well as lots of links to other sites which offer free beenz for clicking applets, registering with them, completing a survey or buying a product.

As well as daily beenz, the addict can get a weekly and monthly fix too as some sites have offers that can be collected on a regular basis after a certain amount of time has elapsed.

Another characteristic of addicts is that they usually frequent special beenz forums because these are the best places to find out about new offers, locations and get hints and tips on how to collect them. Word is that some of the best forums include the Beenzboard (www.beenzboard.com) and the CFM board (http://users3.cgiforme.com/topgal19/cfmboard.html)

As I have said before, beenz addiction can be a terrible thing and I have to admit that I am a dedicated beenz collector. Only last night, at about 11:45pm while watching TV, I suddenly jumped up, shouted: "Oh s*** I forgot to get my beenz today," and made straight for the computer.

However, unlike most addictions, this one does have it’s rewards as collectors can save the little blighters up to buy products from certain internet retailers or redeem them for vouchers for online stores (Amazon, Blackstar) or offline ones (Boots, M&S, Woolworths to name a few). I can’t remember the last time I paid cash for a CD from Amazon or a deodorant from Boots.

At the moment you can get a £10 voucher for around 3475 beenz and new members will probably find that if they sign up for quite a few of the offers on the homepage, they will reach this level in a short time.

It has been suggested that if you do take up a lot of the offers then you should get yourself an email address which you use only for beenz as you may get quite a bit of junk mail from the websites that you sign up to. I personally haven’t received too much junk mail but it is worthwhile having a separate address just in case you suddenly get bombarded with useless information.

If you are interested in joining the phenomenon that is sweeping the internet then visit www.beenz.com where you can read more about them and become a member. They will even give you 100 beenz to start you off.

So go on, what are you waiting for - you could soon become a beenz addict too!

**** Important Update ****

It seems that the beenz addiction may have come to an end as the future of beenz looks very bleak. There are virtually no beenz around to collect and fewer places are redeeming them. If you have some beenz sitting in your account then it may be worth trying to cash them in case the worst does happen and beenz ends.

For now, I'll keep my original review in tact until we get some definite news on what is going to happen to the little red blighters!

I've been into Beenz for about 2yrs now, but got an e-mail the other day to say that Beenz are no more, so I am frantically trying to get rid of my Beenz. This is such as shame as I really became addicted. Tried contact Beenz to ask about the e-mail and as yet nothing from them. Maybe it is already too late

I joined quite recently and figure its gonna take me while to get enough for a voucher!
