Beenz is one of these sites where you have to do things in order to get stuff. Myth - it is like all of these other rewards sites. Reality - it is not, it is a lot easier and there are loads of products that you can buy with these 'beenz'. My aim with this op is to give you a personal insight into this world.
Registration
You have to give your e-mail address, which can be used as a login name and also a password. Unlike ciao, you can choose your password from the very beginning. Then you give personal details like your postcode etc. Once you have done that, you are ready to begin. You are credited with 100 beenz to begin with. This doesnt sound like much and it isn't much - it is possibly worth 20p. You can earn a lot more though.
Earning
This is probably the most tedious process of the whole website but it is worth it. There are various ways that you can earn more beenz. You can go to websites and register, quoting your beenz login name. Another way is by entering into surveys and also competitions. You probably are asking me now how do you know which websites you go to in order to earn these beenz. Well, the site gives you a whole list of websites which offer these beenz. Lastly, there is Beenzback. This gives you a list of sites where you can spend money on products and earn beenz back (get it??).
What's new
This is a section where you can find out the latest offers and products from Beenz. The offers etc get updated about once a week. However, the main purpose of visiting this section is getting 10 free beenz a day, by clicking on a small applet on the bottom left hand corner of the screen.
Spending beenz
This is the part that you go to in order to spend all the beenz that you have accumulated. There is a list of websites where you can do this. A whole host of products are available, ranging from a nokia logo or ringtone (around 60 beenz) at www.cafefusion.com right up to playstation games and food hampers. Beware though, except for ringtones and logos, which are delivered instantly, products take ages to arrive. For example, I bought a keyring torch for 900 beenz a few weeks before xmas. It didn't arrive until the start of march. The best thing to do, if the products are late, is to complain. As well as spending beeenz on products, you can enter competitions for a B25 stake, and win B20000 back. Not bad.
Fun
This section is what I would not call fun. All it has are a beenz counter, which you can download and a few cmpetition sites. Not recommended.
Overall
The site is vey good and well laid out. It is easy to get rewards for the beenz you accumulate. Don't, however waste your beenz on fripperies. Spend them instead on products worth having which you are intending to use.
Websites for beenz
www.work24.com (you may still be able to get 1000 beenz here for just registering)
www.beenzlist.tripod.com
www.gotbeenz.com ( a site similar to ciao devoted to beenz - a must see)
How helpful would this review be to a person making a buying decision? Rating guidelines
www.gotbeenz.com was a good site, had problems regarding payment though (someone found out how to scam the system!) and shut down. Domain has expired and is just now a holding page. boooo! =o)

Good op. I had a friend that managed to scam Beenz somehow - he ended up having enough Beenz to buy a brand new laptop computer. But when I joined, I only managed to save up enough to buy a candle, and it took ages! Claire
