I have been using this search engine/bar for the last two months, and boy do I think that it is good. Read on for the reasons behind this thought.
What is it?; BestoftheWeb, is a search engine/bar for your desktop, it does not have to be there all the time, the option to turn it off is ever present. How we all like a little more space from time to time!

Why bother?; If for no other reason than having a handy search engine right there on the desktop, easy access has always had an attraction. This bar is the epitomy of ease.
What does it do?; What doesnt it, would probably be a better question. The search facility is just one part of a multi-faceted tool, to enhance your internet experience.
a. Search facility, the search results are broken down into two sections, those within 'bestoftheweb', and those without. The advantage of this is that you can prioritise your results, both within one realm and also web-wide. I use this to select which result to view, it tells me how many and on what search engines each result is logged.
b. Form fill, like many programs around, you can pre-fill a standard form and then use the button to fill a form. The difference here is that this is all done from within the search engine bar, no need to run a separate program. With a slow computer, each speed saving makes a difference.
c. Hot spot, this links you to the up to date news and the hottest sites, a useful tool for browsing.
d. Mail, this facility allows you to register all your mail addresses and check them all with the press of just one button. This function alone is a godsend.
e. There is also an open window for you to set an option of either, ticker-tape news, or as I have it, most recent searches from everyone within the 'bestoftheweb'. This sure is fun to read sometimes!
Please try this program, if you like it good, if not, well the informed non-user is better than the opinionated non-tryer!
