The Beyerdynamic DT100 headphones have for a long time been the industry standard headphones in sound engineering, so the DT150s, a new improved model, have much to live up to. First off, these are not small, and they aren't particularly light either. That is not to say they are not comfortable, the soft cushions fit nicely over your ears and are excellent at reducing background noise. The headband is also nice and tight, but not too much so, obviously dependant upon your head.

Neither are they the most sylish, in my opinion, in fact I would say they are positively ulgy, but I choose my equipment for performance rather than style and performance they have in spades. The bass production is by far the deepest and clearest I have heard from any headphone - it blows the competition away, simple as that. The mids and highs are also crisp and clear, overall they are very nice sounding headphones, as you might expect at this price.

The build quality is also great, they feel well put together and the thick headband is at no risk of snapping. Each earpiece can rotate individualy which is handy when doing something which requires your other ear to be listening to something else, such as DJing. They also feature a long 3m cable with a 1/4" jack connector, suitable for a mixing desk or such, although an adaptor to a 1/8" (most computer headphone sockets, mp3 players, etc) is available.

Overall I would say if you want the ultimate sound quality at no compromise, these are the headphones to go for. Their bulkiness maybe makes them less suitable for travelling or DJ work, but for sound engineering and music production, where sound quality is paramount, you can't go wrong with these.

Well you use a spade with a bucket, basically they have a lot of performance. Probably should have been clearer.
