Bid-up.tv is the most brilliant concept I have ever come across! It’s the consumer friendly auction for couch potatoes! You can either bid by phone which costs 75 p per minute or use the website to bid for free. The auctioneers are very good and one in particular is a real hoot, Andy Hodgson is his name I think. He could quite easily get a job on mainstream TV as a funny man. The goods range from bikes to jewellery and everything in between. Some of their goods are obviously bought in bulk from end of line retailers and the like but that is not to say they are poor quality because everything I have bought has been of very good quality. I purchased a full suspension bike for my son that retails at over £200 and I got it for £96 plus P+P! That’s just one of the things I have bought and I have only returned one item because I didn’t look at the description properly. The whole concept is excellent and my tip for bidding is to use the website and stay as low to the minimum bid required as possible. The bidders set the price and most start from £1! The auctioneers have a set time limit for each auction so they let the goods go nice and cheap.
