Most of us are always on the lookout for any moneymaking opportunities online we can find.
Another that you may or may not have heard of is

First appearances you will see that this differs greatly from the likes of ciao or dooyoo.
In fact it is yet another student orientated site but again you do not need to be one in order to publish your reviews here.
Registration is simple, your email home address and whether you are at university or not, at this stage you can also create a public profile also.

Once registered you can go to the home page and see what’s on offer, the main categories are well disguised, in the shape of a half circle on the top left of the page, these are the following:

• 1. Body and soul (health, love/sex and fashion)
• 2. Universities (search, guide, submissions)
• 3. The Mag (Jokes MPEG games, features)
• 4. Going Out (pubs, clubs, cinema, gigs)
• 5. Sound And Vision (music, film, computing)
• 6. Travel (world guide, links, deals)
• 7. Careers &Study (study, archive, graduates)
• 8. Sport and recreation (results, reports, fitness)

Also listed is a section for original writing, this can be childhood memories, jokes, and poems, anything you like really.

Listed under this section is:

• Top 25 most read writers
• Top10 most read articles
• Top25 medals table

This section explains how to actually get your reviews on the site and what they are looking for.
Your reviews are rated in a similar fashion to ciao by other members, however you cannot see who has rated them, just the amounts, you can comment though, so people can click to you through a comment left.
The reviews are rated excellent, good or average.

There are 3 levels of payments per review, Gold, Silver and Bronze, these are awarded on acceptance of your work by Dan who runs the site and that’s it, you get nothing for reads at all.
Currently these payments are as follows
• Gold £2.00
• Silver£ 1.00
• Bronze £0.50

As you have no say in what you get, it is best to make your review as good a possible in content and structure, you are more likely to get a higher reward if you do so and also include any relevant picture links.

This again is a very different feature to Ciao, you firstly need to locate your chosen category or sub category then hit submit, your default email will then open and your account details will already be entered, simply attach your review as a word document and any JPEG’s also as attachments if possible, don’t worry if you are not familiar with this as you can at a push paste your opinions into the email, but Dan does prefer them as attachments.

Dan will then check your sent review and if suitable it will be published and given an award.
You may sometimes be notified if it has been posted with comments from Dan , mainly if it is exceptionally good or if he has any query.

This shows you all the details you need to know, outstanding balance shows any monies you have not redeemed, once a review has been posted, you have to redeem the cash awarded, clicking redeem usually gives you a short survey, once completed the money is transferred into your balance.
History shows all the payments you have had, plus all you published reviews and the number of reads.
Home under your account shows also the names of those members who trust you and vice versa.

You can request a payment once your balance reaches £5, however they give you the incentive to not do this by offering a 3% interest each month on any funds still in your account.
Cheques are sent promptly once requested and yes you do get paid!

Another relatively new feature is the free SMS service, of course you need to be a member to use this feature, you are given 5 free text messages per day.

First impressions of the site are not exactly mind blowing, in fact it looks very basic and hardly an opinion site at all.
You are limited to the reviews you can post with the poor amount of categories but this is as it is student based I guess.
The other downside is that Dan may reject your review and that’s it, he also can edit it at his discretion or even alter your title and once its up you cannot alter or edit it in any way.

The payments are odd to, a review that you may think is one of your best may only be awarded Bronze at 50p and a poorer one in your opinion could get Gold at £2, what I have found is even a brilliant piece of work is likely to get gold unless you add links or pictures to it.

The site is not user friendly really at all, there is no member interaction and the fact that reads count for nothing makes you even less motivated to actually bother to read, you simply want to post a review and that’s it, who cares if you only get a few reads?

But then again you may as well put some of your suitable work on here, you wont get rich from it but you can get some cash out of it so you may as well give it a go.
