With the interest rate going up and ironically for me coming towards the end of my fixed rate mortgage I was facing a double whammy and looked into the possibility of remortgaging.
I was attracted to Blue Financial purely because, well as their advert suggested, they would search over 8500 remortgage products for me saving time but more importantly I could have the professional's do it for me which was great!
On visiting their site you are greeted in my opinion by a well designed and well laid out overview of their services, all navigation is easy to follow and clearly defined and unlike most other sites I’d looked into offered the advantage of being totally independent. I also found the testimonials of benefit, they weren't the usual one liners or predictable quotes, they seemed genuine, written by real people and not some marketing hype that you usually see on this type of site, equally their glossary was well thought out and actually focused you on important factors to consider even before taking the plunge like would I be affected be early repayment charges, ok this didn’t apply given my position but it's something I probably wouldn't of considered under different circumstances, and things like understanding how my property would be valued by the lender, just little things geared up to support me which instilled the confidence I needed.
All these pointers positioned them in my mind as professional company that had my interests at heart and they were not there just to sell me the world on a stick!
The main content covers exactly the service they provide in a few short lines and bullet points again leaving a lot of the usual hype to one side with a short bullet point summary beneath which is a clear button to apply for your quote and a snap shot of the banks and different lenders on offer, all of which I’m pleased to say were recognisable brands.
At the bottom of the page there is another navigation bar which pretty much covers the same as the main with the exception of the tools button, which I feel could be more prominent or better placed as this section provided me with a printable budget planner and a Q and A from their brokers on common questions they get asked and I guess I would asked, all in all a very informative site.
The Proof of the pudding.....
I filled out the online application which took a few minutes and at the end of which it offered me the opportunity to obtain a free copy of credit report which I thought was a nice touch and an explanation of what would happen next. Sure enough as promised I received an email letting me know my application had gone through and my customer reference that I could quote at anytime to get an update should I need to along the name of the person who would be contacting me and all their contact information, so far so good.
As promised I got a call from my account manager and not some call centre Charlie who was fully briefed on what I was looking to achieve and we ran through a couple of questions and I gave my permission to run a credit check followed by their promised I would receive an introduction pack the next introducing their services. Sure enough it was on the doormat the next morning and I was called that afternoon with a selection of products sourced for me.
All in all I can’t rate these guys enough, everything that was promised was delivered to the letter, I just got the sense that nothing was too much trouble and that they would go the extra mile for me.
I would have no problem in recommending them. Who said customer service was a thing of the past.
