Getting on but still great.
Review of BMW 530d by  lostprophet

Advantages: Great all-rounder
Disadvantages: fairly large car..... fairly large price

...changer (both of which are available for the car). BMW customer service as far as I can see is excellent, although with the reliability of the car I doubt you should have to visit a garage much. (Like all newer BMW's, the 5 Series has a set of warning lights on the dash that alert you of when a service is due, very helpful!) Servicing the car costs between £200-£300. This is not cheap, but when put in perspective of the quality of the car and the technology involved, it ends up being a better deal than first thought. (A further possibility is that you take out an extended warranty costing about £400/year which acts as an alternative 'insurance' for repairs (new parts can be very expensive).) There are lots of BMW dealerships around for servicing needs. See www.bmw.co.uk and follow the 'Locate your BMW dealer' link to find your nearest... Read review

This is unbelieveable
Review of BMW by  the_sanguine

Advantages: nice badge
Disadvantages: it's a bmw

...Please please take a look at this website www.bmwlemon.com/dontbmwcare.htm it will give you an example of how BMW treat people when they have a dispute with one of their dealers. Please don't just read it though, please do email david.taylor@bmw.co.uk and tell him what you think and please do copy me in too on dontbmwcare@hotmail.com Basically, their dealer quoted £312.55 and 4-6 weeks for a simple repair. When they took 54 weeks and charged over £1800, BMW didn't appear to take my complaints seriously. When the repairs were so bad that I was quoted over £2400 for corrective work, BMW simply wouldn't look at the evidence I had against their dealer!......look at the website for the full story! Thanks for your time, I really do appreciate your help... Read review

A very very nice affordable car!
Review of BMW 316i by  Mick1293

Advantages: The name, smart car
Disadvantages: Expensive, not many features,

...This is what i would like to buy as my next car because it is pure genius. It looks fantastic and it is affordable at £14150 (after recent price cuts of £745). At lot of the price though, in my opinion goes to the name - 'BMW' and therefore you cannot except a whole load of benefits. However you do get as standard: ABS; central locking; drivers/front passenger airbags; elec windows; power assisted steering; and a whole load of options (after which your price will probably be nearer to £20,000). The 1.9 litre 105 bhp engine does 0-62 in a mediocre 11.9 seconds. Maximum speed of 119 mph and insurance group rating of 11. After writing this opinion and looking at the car - I want one now! (however i will have to pay this one off first - for the next 45 months!). I absolutely love the car - visit www.bmw.co.uk for more details.... Read review
