I have decided, on the advice of Jill Murphy, to do an opinion on her favourite website. A website where she has spent many a sleepless night trying in vain to solve the numerous puzzle games. [The first thing you'll notice when you head over to www.bobthebuilder.org is a pop up advertisement. It's for Bob's live show. Bah, bah and thrice bah. I clicked that off straightaway. I do hate obtrusive advertising on children's websites and there is a perfectly good parent's area here where an advertisement for the show would have been fine. So if you're thinking of going there and your child is a Bob fan old enough to read, then beware and get ready to click it off before they notice. Tsk. If you have small children and want to find a website to keep them entertained try bobthebuilder.com . I came across this website a few weeks ago when trying to entertain my nephew. He is a big Bob the Builder fan and his sister is obsessed with the theme tune. I entered the site expecting to find it boring but we became so hooked it was soon time for them to go home. When you first enter the site you are asked to select your country by clicking on the appropriate flag. It took a while to load so the children didn’t become too inpatient. This website is based on the popular BBC TV programme and provides online games that are fun and educational. This is a bright and cheerful little site that once loaded plays the bob the builder song. My daughter is five and in reception class at school. She can read quite well and was able to get full use of the activities, but there is also plenty to do for younger children, her cousin who is two enjoyed it just as much.
