The website at www.bol.com takes you to their international portal and requires you to click on the UK button. I decided to buy this along with another editor’s choice, Minette Walters “The Shape of Snakes”, at £4.
The cost of delivery is £2.95 per order. This makes the ordering of books cheaper than Amazon if you buy more than 3 at a time. Having ordered the books, I expected ...

First I had to registar which was simplicity itself you just enter in your email address which you use for I points and a password. Takes about a few minutes and away I went.

I had ordered a few other things at the same time which arrived a few days later and impeccably packaged and on the invoice it informed me that ...

Advantages: Very Fast Delivery, Cheap, Easy to use Disadvantages: none
...and the other two were BOL.com and AMAZON.co.uk. I found that BOL.com and AMAZON.co.uk were considerably cheaper than their high street rivals. So, I investigated further. ** AMAZON.co.uk ** For delivery of books, Amazon charge £2.16 per order, which I only intended on having 1, and a further £0.59 per item within the order. So, £2.16 and 4 items came to a total delivery charge of £4.52 The availability at amazon was 3 to 5 weeks for one, and 24 ... ...difference. ** BOL.com ** For delivery of books, BOL.com charge £2.95 per order, no matter how many books you order. Advantages: Good selection of books, CDs, games, videos and DVD's Disadvantages: Not enough information
My mother has recently been diagnosed as being a diabetic and I decided that I wanted to get a cookery book in order to make her some cakes, biscuits etc.
I looked first at Amazon, having already made a few purchases from their website and been pleased. The only ones I could see here were the ones that had 2 to 3 weeks delivery and, being an impatient sort of person, I wanted the book now.
I then decided to take a look at www.uk.bol.com as I had ... ...It was easy enough to register with the site – just the usual questions, name, address and password. I did go via ipoints so hopefully I will get my 50 ipoints for registering plus a further 10 for spending over £10. Mind you knowing ipoints I’ll not hold my breath!
There is a wide selection available on Bol including CDs, Books, Videos, DVDs, and Games and Software. Each range has it’s own section and search facility.
There is ...
