Recently, I was forced into a search for boots for my husband. He likes simple boots which have good quality leather uppers, and flexible soles and although this seems a very simple thing to ask of a pair of mens boots, the truth is that fashion has changed so much over the past ten years, that nine out of ten boots sold in Europe are big clumpy things that assume that all men have this macho need to wear heavy footwear.
My husband is not a dressy ... ...and shoes of a dressy nature are not what he is searching for either. Simple boots that will sit comfortably under his jeans are what he was seeking, and believe me the search for the illusive boots has lasted about five years, to the extent that the poor man was wearing repaired boots that were long past their prime, just because an alternative was not available locally.
