Advantages: You don't need to know much to get started Disadvantages: You won't learn much and may never realise what you can and should really do at this kind of cost
The other opinions about BT WebWorld appear to be about BT's Internet Access services. BT WebWorld is not an access service its a web hosting service targeting small companies. As such it is expensive for what you get, and what you get is not very good. I had the opportunity to try it out because a friend used it to register a domain name and I got involved in setting up the website. After just a couple of weeks we decided to abandon webworld and ... ...of £95 set up plus £19.99 monthly charge for 20Mb of space and a maximum of 2Gb per month of traffic (ie they put a limit on the use of the site). The £95 includes domain name registration, but you can get that for under a tenner elsewhere. It includes "technical support by phone" but when we tried to use this we got a very amateur response. Advantages: Not too slow for a lesser provider Disadvantages: Can get bogged down
I purchased my computer from Tiny computers and the Tinyonline internet connection disc came free. I found the initial setup very easy and had no problems even as an inexperienced user.
The service is a resonable speed, although it can get jammed up from time to time this tends not to be a major problem. It offers free webspace although not a great deal compared to other providers. The homepage is strong giving access to news, reviews and lots more ... ...e-mail addresses and online help is charged at the normal 50p per minute. Rates are charged at 1p per minute off peak and local rates on peak and connection is free.
Reasonable prices for a reasonable service. One annoying aspect is that it can take a few attempts to connect. Use it in conjuntion with another ISP to combat that problem and you should have an efficient service. All in all not too bad. ...

Advantages: Easy to Set up Disadvantages: Not the Cheapest
This is a very good web provider from a well established company.
The service with BTWEBWORLD is extremly reliable and also the software available for the WEBWORLD is of good quality.
It is very easy to maintain and setup even for novice users, although more inclined to the business side of things.
The options available from this service are very good and the speed is good.
The customer services are very helpful and try to answer any questions ...
