A single spray of Burberry London and this is how I feel !Don't go thinking I am pretentious, I was thinking of the effect this perfume had on me. This is indeed a jewel. In fact, it is just as if I have been living in a dream since I first started putting on the latest Burberry fragrance. I am keen on Burberry perfumes in general, I have never been disappointed by them. Well, I acknowledge a preference for "Burberry London" which was out in 1995. As far as I am concerned, I discovered it in 1998 and since then, I usually have a bottle near me just in case I would miss it.
Coincidence ? Hazard ?
Without being able to give a satisfactory explanation, the new fragrance by Burberry is also called "London". It is a mystery to me, especially because it might confuse the purchasers (imagine a gentleman wanting to offer it to you and arriving with a perfume which is everything but new!!)
First of all, I would like to thank AimeeLouise18. It was when I read her review that I heard of this new perfume. How strange that in France we were late for it ... Anyway, when I was asked what birthday presents I wanted, "Burberry london" was top of the list. Now I have got it I can say a few words about the pleasure it brings me each time I wear it.

I think I've always liked perfumes. Even when I was younger and not really aware of the world of fashion, I was interested in perfumes : Cacharel, Kenzo, Paco Rabane were the first who caught my attention. And then, Burberry. I believe perfume is an essential part of someone's personality. I usually have a bottle of perfume (of a size of a sample) in my handbag. °0° Burberry °0°
I won't offend you by telling the story of the brand as I am sure you know much more about it than me. But I'll recap the different perfumes through the years:

I think the bottle is really smart, with a piece of the famously reknown tartan on it as you can see on the picture on top of the page. One advantage is that thus, the perfume will be protected from light; one drawback is that you can't see how much perfume you still have inside unless you remove the tartan.°0° About the fragrance ... °0°
I am not a good 'nose' but here is some information I found about the notes of "Burberry London": Honeysuckle, English Garden Rose, Peony (for freshness),Tiare Flower, Jasmine (for aromatic sensuality), Clementine, Veil of Musks, Indian Sandalwood, Patchouli. After having sprayed a bit of Burberry London on me, I usually hear nice remarks. People like the smell and as the perfume is quite new, they don't recognize straightaway yet. Later, they might but at the moment, I think it is great to 'introduce' it to others. I happened to be fed up by a fragance because too many people were wearing it.
When I have it on, I feel confident, elegant, modern and feminine. I think it is exactly what its creator (Dominique Ropion) wanted to convey. It is a floral perfume, which I like most. They are the best for springtime.°0° Advertising °0°
In general, it is my first contact with a product but I find it hard to buy a perfume only after having seen a photograph, even an original, effective one. If you read women's magazines you will undoubtedly see that Rachel Weisz (winner of the best supporting actress award at the Oscars for her role in "The constant gardener") promotes "Burberry London". She has replaced Kate Moss, and was photographed in the streets of London.
To me, this perfume is a real success. It's ideal for an evening (or a night) out. If you put it on in the morning, it will last 3/4 hours.

Apparently, no shower gel is yet available. It clearly is expensive but I think it is definitely worth it. And it can be a great idea for a gift.
