The first thought about any such site its a SCAM. But as a CIAO member i can say opposite. Its not. Websites such as Bux.to use whats called a incentive based marketing system. The incentive being You get paid.
Once you sign up you are provided with a minimum of 16 website links. Your job is to click each of the links and view the website for 30 seconds. There is a counter on the top left that tells you when your 30 seconds is up - and you can move on - and click more. For each Website link you click you will earn $0.01. This may not seem like much but the secret is to get referrals.
What are referrals. Well they are the people who you get to join such as friends and family. However they always think its a Scam so you wont get many referrals that way. Having referrals earns you money because every time they click a link, you'll get $0.01, if you are a premium member you'll get $0.125.
For example if I have 15 referrals - which I do.
15 referrals click 10 ads per day = $1.50 - Your daily earnings = $1.50 - Your weekly earnings = $10.50 - Your monthly earnings = $45.00
They dont guarantee that you'll earn as much as they stated, although if you log-on to their forums the majority of people will break even in about 2 weeks for having 15 referrals. Premium Members?. Through Bux.to you can buy refferals. I've personally bought a Package with 15 referrals that cost me $16.89 which is about £8.40. The more referrals you have the higher profit you will make. When you order a package you'll become a Premium Member which means you get more website links to visit and you will earn $0.0125 per click and not the old $0.01 It also means that everytime one of your referrals click you also get another $0.0125 even if they are standard members.
How does Bux.to get Money for this?. Well Bux.to offers websites Traffic( where people view their website)They charge £1.99 per 100 views or clicks. Bux members then visit these websites through the links provided and in return for clicking links Bux gives us a small percentage of their profit - which is $0.01. You get paid through PayPal only - Because of this Bux.to can only pay you once you have made $10. The only problem ive found with the Bux system is that when you order a package it does take af few days to process, and payments take about 30 days to clear, so you'll awalys be one month behind. The Bux forum is Great and the customer support responds well. I have no complaints so far.
In my own opinion, you should give it a try. if you take it serioulsy then you will actually make money. It all depends on how many referrals you have - the more the merrier. Have fun every one

Well things are NOT going good with this website. I must apologize to any CIAO members who registered through reading my article.
Since January 2008, Bux.to has been having major problems processing payments to its members. This is apparently due to a script issue or Database MySQL error.
The payment method called PayPal is no longer accepted due to "legal issues" . The actual reason for PayPal banning PTC website is still a blury subject and I cannot find any clear answers.
The ban on PayPal has caused a huge out-cry from its members, because PayPal was the best and most secure way of transferring money and recieveing money on the internet. An alternative method called AlertPay was then used and is still being used to date. However this transition hasn't gone without flaws. AlertPay cannot process the number of mass payments to Bux.to apparent 6 million members and so adding to the delay on payments.
The amount of problems that have occured have become a real pain and
I have invested over $100 in this website and to date I have made only about $150 through this website. $150 may seem like good money but I can assure you its the most slow and terrible way to make money. The reason why I say this is simple - its taken 6 months to amke $150 and it will take another 5 months just to get paid!
There have been major plans to give Bux.to a face lift which apparently will also solve the payment issue. The news of this plan had been annouced to members in late January, however I am still waiting to see any results after more than 6 months of waiting!
Well thats all I gota say on this. Im tired of this website and I'm going to get a part time job.
