THEY HAVE THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE - BUYER BEWARE DO NOT USE BUY.COM. So here's my story, I go and buy a keyboard from them, where there is NO indication that the item I will receive is going to be a returned/open item. According to the website, I was to receive a NEW item. Upon receiving the item, I of course do NOT open it at all, call them the following day and the agent tells me, "Oh, no problem!!! This was supposed to be a new item. Go ahead ... ...will notify the manufacturer you are to receive a new one and we'll ship it off to you". I'm over here thinking wow, they aren't as bad as everyone says! Why is it a week later I get an email saying that they have refunded me $23 LESS than what I paid for the entire item. I call back, and I get from the customer service agent "Once a refund has been issued we cannot do anything." I explain to him that I never requested a refund, I wanted a replacement. ...

Advantages: None Disadvantages: Bad Customer Service and Shipping Time
I placed an order on January 3rd. At the time, Buy.com's website claimed the product was IN STOCK. I got an e-mail a few days later saying the product was OUT OF STOCK.
I waited for two weeks, then checked buy.com's website which once again said the product was IN STOCK. Thinking that the product would be shipped shortly, I waited.
After five days, I checked the website which still said the item was IN STOCK. I then called the sales line and they ... ...customer service and asked where my product was. She told me that it was OUT OF STOCK. I told her that the website and her sales department claimed it was IN STOCK. She then agreed that it was IN STOCK and couldn't explain why it had not been shipped to me.
I asked her why she lied to me about it being OUT OF STOCK, but she didn't give me an answer. When I asked to speak with a supervisor, she said the supervisor was busy and couldn't speak with ...

Buy.com has the worst customer service of any company I've ever dealt with. I used to work as a CS manager for a major software firm and am honestly appalled at the service level Buy.com has provided me. It began with the shipment of a pre-opened package for a wireless device which included a power adapter for a different device. (Rendering it useless.) I'm assuming it was a customer return which was not quality checked before reselling. For a replacement, ... ...find this completely unacceptable as Buy.com is at fault in this situation for selling unchecked faulty merchandise. I contacted Buy.com's customer service on three separate occasions to plea my case and asked for an escalation on my third attempt. Each time I received an impersonal boilerplate email reply which did not solve my problem or answer my questions.
My mistake was giving Buy.com a chance after having heard such bad reviews and Customer ...

I would say that the main reason I always check out Buy.com when I'm looking for anything that is computer related, is that their prices are nearly always very competitive.
