Buy a new car online as easy as buying a CD 27/11/2007

Advantages Simple, open and honest, great pre-sales and after-sales teams.
Disadvantages Book price Part exchange (no Buyacar profit though)

Advantages Everything exactly as promised - actually better.
Disadvantages None that I can think of.

Just bought a new car from buyacar.co.uk, trading in my wife's old car. The whole experience was exactly as promised by Buyacar; in fact it was better because the new car arrived 4 weeks earlier than expected, and we're the first registered keepers not the usual second. The service was smooth, professional, and uncomplicated, and the fact that I was trading in my wife's car didn't cause any difficulties. The handover was easy; one guy came up from the south coast with a truck, inspected the old car thoroughly, had no complaints, and took it away; the other fellow drove the new car over from ... more

Advantages A wealth of information about cars, Very informative
Disadvantages none to speak of

I hadn't come across this website before, but was after a Nissan Micra for myself to potter around in so I used Buyacar's website to get a an online quote. Surprised at how low the price was for the Nissan, I decided to check out the reputation of the company. Buyacar have been around since 2002 so I was happy that they were a well established car sales company. All good so far. I also checked out some other car dealers online but what I liked about buyacar was their honesty and awareness of the industry. Advantages Significant cost savings
Disadvantages Probably waited a little longer for delivery. This however was more than balanced by the cost saving

I started my buying process late 2011 having decided I would like to acquire a crossover type vehicle, more importantly after persuading the better half to let me have one. Mainly due to physical size I settled on the Nissan Juke and subsequently arranged a test drive. Pricing was discussed with the local dealer and I went away to think about my acquisition. Totally let down by Buyacar - I will never use again 07/12/2009

Advantages Web site was easy to use and price offered was cheaper than anywhere else
Disadvantages Misleading business practice, never got the car and very poor communication strategy

I ordered a new Citroen Grand Picasso on 23rd July. The price quoted was considerably cheaper than anywhere else and the website was very straight forward to use. I was given an estimated delivery date of between 6-10 weeks. I heard nothing from Buyacar and phoned several times, each time I was told there was no problem. After waiting 10 weeks I started phoning every 2 days trying to find out what happened. On 13th Nov I received an email stating my car is being prepared and they even gave me a registration number.
