...change your mind. Buynothingday.co.uk is the home of the campaign of the same name – ‘Buy Nothing Day’. I’d never heard of this campaign until I read about it in a magazine, and I have to say I was interested enough to do a bit of digging about.
Buy Nothing Day (BND) was started in 1993 by an anti-consumerism group called Adbusters, and according to the FAQ’s, they now celebrate this day in 55 countries. How do they ... ...without buying anything. Not one single consumer item. (I don’t think you are meant to do without food – just all the other paraphenalia and gubbins).
