I ordered a Gelert Meridian 10 from Camp Mania on Tue. Their website said it was in stock. Speaking to other stockists later I was told that there probably isn't a Gelert meridian 10 left for sale in the country, they have been so popular! I needed the tent by Fri (not a problem with Camp Mania's 1-3 day delivery promise, thinks I) but wanted to reassure myself so called Camp Mania first thing on Wed. Hi. I shopped with Campmania last week and found the whole experience very friendly and extremely efficient. Having read some of these reviews I am surprised at how bad some of them are - maybe there are two Campmanias? Anyway, I bought a tent from them and a pair of trousers. However I realised as soon as I had ordered the trousers that I had mistakenly ordered the wrong size. I called them up the next morning, was put straight through to them ...

I needed quite a few camping items because I have never been camping before. I found Campmania on one of the search engines and decided to call them (particularly after reading some of the reviews). I was connected immediately and was transferred to one of their camping experts who advised me of what I actually needed (not what I thought I needed)! The tent, sleeping mats, bags and cooking equipment turned up next day well packed and when iIcalled ...

I too have been "bitten" by outdoor mania. Their site looks quality and reputable however having placed an order, all items in stock, 5 working days later I have had no items delivered, no repsonse to 2 emails and cannot get through to anyone on their telephone line. I have been unable to contact them and no order has been delivered in the standard 3 day time stated on the web site. my e mails have been ignored and the phones are on answer machine night and day. have not even been sent an automated reply to acknowledge receipt of the enquiries. please don't be fooled by the slick website and the great looking prices as the only thing they seem ...
