The catalogue is big and the prices are low, even free delivery is promised on each and every purchase. Whether you want to head straight to the bargain basement or browse imported DVDs, CD Wow lets you do both. However in this already highly competitive market is CD Wow worth your time?

Music

The catalogue for music is big but doesn't quite rival Amazon in this comparison due to singles not being included and some older albums not available . The music section is split into several sections including - Top 75, Bargain Basement, New releases, Unsigned & Catalogue. They also include a release calendar so you can see when your Album is due for release. The standard price for albums is £8.99 raising to £12.99 for doubles and dropping to £6.99 for the bargain basement. The prices all include delivery. Each album page on the site contains track listings and a small price comparison with other online music shops, CD Wow generally coming out the best value.

DVDs

The DVD catalogue is also fairly large and includes multi region DVDs, allowing anyone with a multi region DVD player to watch films before they are released here and in some cases films that will never be released here. If you don't already have a multi region DVD player you can purchase these here also for competitive prices. The DVD section is similar to its music counter part containing a Top 75, Bargain Basement, New releases and multi region section. The prices for new DVDs range from £9.99 to £14.99 and rise up to £34.99 for box sets containing 3 or more DVDs. The reduced sections have DVDs typically around £7.99 though you can pick up DVDs for as low as £3.99. Each DVD page includes a small review and details of special features.

Games

Probably not CD Wow's strongest asset is its game section. Their typical price for Xbox and PS2 games are around £32.99 which won't save you much from the high street. However with its bargain basement and free delivery its still definitely worth a look. The catalogue is also fairly large. Each game page include a short review, the release calendar and pre order section are also part of the game section.

Ordering

For anyone with basic net knowledge ordering is simple. The only drawback of ordering with CD Wow is the longer then average delivery time which is estimated at 5-7 days after dispatch, this has been accurate with my previous deliveries. The returns policy is also excellent allowing you to return any unwanted items within 15 days for a full refund (minus postage) as long as your item is in good condition. Customer service is also of a high quality, a direct email address and phone number is supplied and answers are normally prompt and helpful. The now very common order status facility is also included, allowing you to check up on your order.
