cdzone.co.uk is one of the lesser known online music retailers in the UK, but I stumbled across their website several months ago when I was trying to find the catalogue number of a tune I'd heard in a club. Despite the name, cdzone sell cds, videos and cassetttes - and they have an excellent range of all three. They boast that they have "Europe's largest Online Music Selection" with 800,000 titles in their catalogue - and the artists or record labels ... ...listings.
The design of the website is uninspiring - to say the least. Not a great deal of imagination has gone into any of the pages, and despite the lack of detail on the pages I find that the site loads at a disappointingly slow rate. The site is relatively unreliable in that quite often during the day you will be navigating through the site, and then you get an error message which prevents you loading new pages for five or ten minutes. It would ...

I came across www.cdzone.co.uk a few months ago and have used them several times since. Before you buy anything from here, you must register - giving your name, postal address, email address, bank details and a few other pieces of general information. All of these details are kept private and are not passed onto any third parties - via the internet or otherwise.
They are not an actual stockist of CDs, what they do is track them down from a number ... ...usually fairly competitive (from about £1.50) and there are many different CDs available. To be honest, they also sell cassettes, vinyl, videos, DVDs etc - so it's not just a CD zone.
They list many items which are fairly rare, which is great, but often they have problems tracking them down and keep you hanging on for ages, saying that they're trying to find them and then out of the blue they send an email saying that they can't get hold of it. ...

Advantages: huge range of products Disadvantages: a bit slow
The cdzone.co.uk is part of a group of four websites run by the same company, and all with similar feels to them. These websites are; cdzone.co.uk, bookzone.co.uk, videozone.co.uk and softwarezone.co.uk. Once you have registered at one of these sites you can use your id (your e-mail address at any of these sites, which is quite good).
~~The Website~~
In general this is not the prettiest website that you will find on the net, but it does all that ... ...facility, an escalator (to get to the other websites), you can view your basket and you can view the orders that you have made (possibly to check on their status). The searching facility is available on the first page and you can search by artist name or the title of the CD you are looking for. The only problem that you have is that there is a minimum of three or two (not sure) characters to search on, otherwise you get too many results and the page ...

Advantages: They keep you up to date with e-mails, cheap, supposedly a wide range Disadvantages: Dodgy postage department, not everything in stock that they claim.
First off, CDZone are the cheapest online cd retailers that i have come across, this is why i continue too purchase music from them even after the amount of hassle they have given me. One thing you should always be wary of with online music retailers is exactly what they mean when they say that they have an item 'in stock'. Supposedly CDZone have an amazingly wide range of cd's in stock but this is not quite true as i discovered when i ordered two ... ...over a month ago and even though they claimed to have both albums in stock i am now told that they are still waiting to find a supplier for both of them. They do make it easy to cancel the order if you are tired of waiting but due to their low prices i am quite happy to wait a little longer.
Postage is fairly cheap compared to many online retailers with the added bonus that if they have to send parts of an order separatly due to not being able to ...

CDzone is one of the best online music retailer that exists. It has a useful site layout, and boasts a wide range of CD's to purchase.
The things that makes me very happy to shop with them is the way in which order status is constantly updated so that you know whether the item is being ordered or whether it has been despatched. I find the choice incredible as well, as I have found many items that I was unable to find elsewhere and at good prices. ... ...at the same low prices. I cannot fault the company as, for example, if you order 3 items and Cdzone cannot get hold of them within a certain yime period, the ones they have received will be despatched seperately and then you may have the choice whether to cancel the rest of the order or follow it through. I have bought many CDs via CDZone and have found not one problem which leads me to believe you are defintely getting your moneys and times worth. ...
